I say witchcraft is behind it because the R6 feels more aggressive then my Fatboy on 9 and almost rivals face feel and efficiency of my R41. Regardless of what it is I am happy so far that I like the 5 I have tried. Would have been pretty ticked off if the $100 razor turned into a beautiful dust collector. Thanks a ton by the way for breaking it down in small words. SWMBO only had to help me with 95% of what you typed.

 

Witchcraft is a possibility. No problem with the vocabulary. It may help bring the two of you closer.

I am still only an approximation of the coolness expressed in my example photo, but I appreciate your kind remarks.

 

Neal tries to never use big words when diminutive ones would assuredly suffice.

 

I was being sarcastic at first but I actually had to look up diminutive..... It's too late for my brain to work this hard..

 

I see what I did. I confused your shave on 6 with that of @BearCWY , I knew somebody had a rough shave yesterday. So far then, my shaves have aligned with yours. Let's hope that changes Friday when I move up to 9.
And by the way, my son fell off a bit in bowling tonight. He only managed to average 199.

I am really digging the fact that you're doing "objective aggression" with numbers. Many times our notions about the world do not match reality. It's cool to see it in black and white.

Well I"m finding it quite interesting to see all of the relative numbers from different razors. One set of numbers I wish I could find would be the angle of bend on the blade which effects exposure. The fact that the Rockwell can produce a great shave with only .008 gap has to be attributed to something. Less bend? More? Forced to ride the razor at a very precise angle? This shaving thing could get complicated enough to call in Hawking!

 

I would think the Rockwell must have sufficient exposure created by the top radius to remain efficient.

 

That's my assumption at this point. Although if Rockwell would like to donate a razor for research I'd be happy to confirm or disprove that theory.

 

Maybe in a month or two when I am on to the next thing that will hold my interest for a week or two I will loan you mine granted you post your ideas here and keep me in the loop as I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

 

That could be fun.
