All safe and sound... thanks for the concern quickly followed by jokes about falling.... really brightened the mood as I was reading the responses at lunch... while the height doesn't bother me at all (thankfully) I am sure most people know that the higher up you are the hotter it gets... I got cooked.. like red as a lobster cooked... I have sunburn so bad it hurts to lay down.. Forgot to put on sunscreen lotion???
If it's true that the higher up you are the hotter it gets; why is there always snow on top of Mount Everest?
I live about 100 miles from some small glaciers. There are true maniacs that hike up and ski in August. Those glaciers are only at like 12 or 14k feet. I think Everest is around 29k ft. Living in Colorado made me understand the difference between mountains and hills. Things we called "mountains" in Alabama wouldn't even have names here.

July 2016 Blade Focus July 17 Razor: Lord L6 Blade: Bolzano Brush: VDH Boar Soap: Stirling MITA Post: Cold water rinse, Alum block This is my final post regarding the blade trials in my Lord L6. On Monday it went to the great shave den in the sky. I was putting the three piece together and the head just would not tighten to the handle. Apparently I stripped it or it just got worn out. It did survive being used by a couple of new shavers so I would say it justified its whopping $10 price tag. It will be missed. Sunday's shave was an excellent shave with the L6 and the Bolzano blade. The combination was actually one of my favorite combinations I have used to date. The shave was so easy and so smooth. Ended with a wonderful BBS and absolutely zero chatter from the alum. I guess if it had to go, it went out with a bang giving me one last great shave. I am debating on whether to get another and just be more careful with the threads on the new one. It really is a nice shaver, especially for the price. My next post will detail the next big thing in shaving . . . stay tuned.
In the Good Old Shavertime! July 19 Grand Blade Trial Razor - 1962 (H1) Gillette Slim (6) Blade - (2) Soap - Arko Brush - BoS Omega 10066 Post - Alum, The Veg Day two on the Prime and I'd like to find a difference between this one and the ST-300. Given the way they number blades and how confusing it can be on the website I'm not convinced it isn't the same blade just a new wrapper. Some people have accused blade companies of doing that but in most cases I can tell the difference between, say, a Rapira Platinum Lux and Rapira Stainless. On the first day of this blade it seemed like I had just picked up where I left off on Saturday. Three full passes again today at the higher setting and a better result. Some more details are on my BLOG. Let's just say to sum it up.....near BBS, not sure the blade isn't just repackaged, no blood, and maybe tomorrow will tell. Have a great day!
Turns out that has to do with air pressure and what not according to this: http://science.howstuffworks.com/nature/climate-weather/atmospheric/question186.htm I should have worded it different though as I have also cleared roofs in winter and what I have noticed is: Hot as hell on the ground: Higher up you go the hotter it gets. Cold as ice on the ground: Get's even colder and more windy the higher up you are. Long story short...whatever it is on the ground is normally more intense the higher up you go...
Rockwell 6S/ R5 Base Plate/ Voskhod (2) Whipped Dog 30mm High Mountain Tabac Thayers Aqua Velva Musk Overall todays shave was.... horrendous... nothing to blame on the tools or anything but my fault entirely. Chasing the baby resulted in an abundance of cuts and irritation. Got a DFS but the alum let me know it was angry when I applied it. Aqua Velva Musk is a great aftershave with a great scent but feels horrible when splashing on over a ton of irritation. Hoping the irritation subsides soon or I may have to skip tomorrows shave.
The next big thing is here! Well it has to big, given the name! OK OK so probably not the next big thing since it appears to be a Weishi Baili razor, but I couldn't resist getting one given the name. That and it only cost me $1.99 and came with 11 Chinese made blades (they have to be good right, or maybe it should be, what's the worst that can happen). Who could resist?? Edited to indicate the correct razor thanks to @Linuxguile.
That might not be good enough for Weishi. Something tells me mild, mild, mild and milder. The blades? I shudder to think. I see these kind of deals on Ebay and I'm always tempted. That's where my Long Feng and Remei came from. I don't think I paid $1.99 for those though.
It is a Baili BD17 razor. IB also sells then for about $10 so I would say you got a good deal. Chances are they are Baili blades too
I think you both nailed it. I have not tried Baili blades though I think I have some Baili Blue blades at my house so will have to do a comparison to see if Bigfoot gets the Baili rejects. The razor will first be used with my standard, the GSB. If I can get a shave out of it, then I might try other blades. The bigfoot shaves blades will go into my Executive adjustable so that I can see how they do and have a little more control over them. Neal, you ever used the Baili blades? Should I run away now?
As fast as you can. Seriously......are you running yet? While screaming maniacally? Baili Blue or the Green version either one.....among the worst. Now, not Czech Tiger bad, but that's not saying much.
So what I hear you saying is what's the worst that can happen with the combination of the Baili razor and Baili blades. Is that about right?
