Is it just me? Or are we missing several regulars today. Guess the Summer vacation time and all that has people busy. We had a big storm go through earlier after a day of miserable heat. 97 degrees with humidity that had birds getting out oars to try and swim through. Just a typical day on the river here. So the storm cooled it off but.....loaded more humidity for tomorrow. Want to see St. Louis from the satellite the next few days? Just look for the rising steam along the Mississippi.

Hope everyone is staying safe and as cool as possible.

 

I'm here, but no shave today. I'm waiting an extra day to try out my new Shavecraft slant which came in yesterday. I've enjoyed a quiet day. My daughter left for a trip with her Nana this morning, and my son is spending the night with a friend, so the dog and I have been sitting around watching each other scratch.

And it's hot here too. The birds have been pulling up worms using pot holders.

 

I'm here but out of focus. Will focus on a couple of new arrivals for a while

 

Lord isn't meant to last forever. Get another, as you've mastered that tool and know it's always automatic! A little gun or mineral oil, or even light Vaseline on threads coupled with a steady hand will help preserve the next one.

Funny looking razor you have there. Shoot, that reminds me....been surfing Etsy and the bay tonight and saw a pipe shaved shave bowl. Thought about you and meant to copy it and post it up. I'll have to see if I can find it again.

 

I'm here. Long busy day today so haven't been on much.

Summertime, when the living's easy...

 

Well sunburn recovery is an excused absence. Hey, did you see that? I just demonstrated concern and caring for an injury! We won't let THAT happen again!

 

I'm around, but haven't ventured out of my Fortress of Air Conditioned Solitude since I got home this evening. Mine is an older home built in 1942. No central AC. I run a window shaker in my bedroom. The rest of the house is still hotter than the evening air outside.

 

I'm around a bit, just on vacation with the family!



I may even try to work in an outdoor shave shot at some point, but no promises.

 

I guess having to talk to me yesterday made you miss everyone else.

First shave with the Bigfoot razor complete. Details to come later.

Work work work work. Summer is busy so wake up, go to work, wander, around until my ride comes, eat, sleep, repeat.
