Focus Free Focus My focus free month has degenerated into a straight focus. The pull of the Dark Side is strong. Another nice shave TOBS Sandalwood Wolf Whiskers Brush Hien 650 Kamisori Alum Lucky Tiger Florida Water Have fun!
Well it's Thursday and it's been more like a Monday on steroids. But, I did manage to start the morning with my first round of the Swedish Supersteel. Details to follow once I'm home tonight. Looking for a hiding place for the rest of the day. Hope yours is better than mine!!
Maybe I should wait to give you the bad news seeing as your having a rough day...nothing too bad just that Voskhods are no longer number 1 in my books....
Oh, I wouldn't worry. I'm sure Ivan and the boys will understand. Really nothing to worry about at all. :ahem::ahem::ahem::ahem::ahem::ahem::ahem::ahem::ahem::ahem:
Works for me. That just means a hundred or so Pokémon Go players will be hanging out at your door. More cover for the guys.
Pikachu is expendable.. The boys will have their work cut out for them if they make it past Pikachu... Would the boys be happy if I told them it was a Russian blade that dethroned the Voskhod?
Well it would slow them down for a vodka toast. Which would lead to another. And another. And.....well you get the picture. Which blade? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
The Cartel approves. Yeah the Ladas is definitely top 4 for me. I know several others who prefer it as well. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
Voskhods are still my number 2. The only reason they edged out the Voskhod is the longevity and they seem to work just slightly better in my trouble spots... You know what I cant even say its number one...Voskhod and Ladas are tied in my eyes.
While Voskhod is my number 1, I will say that Sharp Star and Rapira SS tend to give it a good run for its money. I'm sometimes tempted to re-rank them, but it's so close why bother. LOL The Ladas are very close for me too but the lack of Teflon on those I think keeps them from the very top spot. I'm a bit of a PTFE lover.
The Sharp Stars are one of my favorites and seem to last a little longer that Voskhod blades. Voskhod and Sharp Star I believe are both Teflon coated. For me it's a tie between Voskhod and Sharp Star for #1.
STOD 7/28/16 Razor: Valet Auto Strop V1 Blade: Modified Gem/ Personna Brush: TGN Finest Soap: Hoslinger Sandalwood Post: cold water, alum, witch hazel, Nivea sensitive aftershave balm I finally decided to try out my Valet Auto Strop tonight and well, I'm not thrilled with it. It was a bit aggressive and the blade did not preform like it did in my other SE razors. The shave left me with a little bit more irritation than I have gotten with any of my other razors in the past and I just did a 2 1/2 pass shave. First pass was WTG and I got decent reduction but I could tell it wasn't that good. Second pass was XTG and again I got only decent reduction. I started a third pass ATG and got my cheeks done but once I started on my neck I could tell it was not going to be good so I only did WTG again on my neck. I rinsed off with cold water and applied the alum which instantly let me know how irritated my skin was. I rinsed my face again after it stopped burning and applied my witch hazel which reaffirmed how irritated my skin was. I decided I needed to go with the Nivea to help sooth my face and I called it done. I'm not sure if I'll keep this razor or not, might try and trade it for something else anyway it was only somewhere between a CCS and a DFS tonight. I'm was kind of a disappointing shave tonight, I kind of expected better. Oh well, Hope everyone had a great shave today, and an even better one tomorrow.
July 3/3 Brush Focus Cremo Cream / TBS Synthetic Weishi Chrome / Ladas SS Alum / New Old Spice While it's not "The Haul" worthy to report, I received a new to me razor from my mother today. A standard issue Weishi in chrome that she thought I'd like. I showed her the '54 Z1 Flare Tip I passed to her and how they were very similar. The shave is much the same as well. I do like the finish on the Weishi - very smooth chrome. Loaded with a fresh Ladas SS it performed as hoped. A slick batch of Cremo applied with The Body Shop synthetic gave one nick on my chin. Very little irritation on the alum rub down. On a whim I splashed on OS AS. When I travel this may be my away from home tool set. Cheap, effective, easily replaceable.
