    A bar of packaged hotel room soap makes a good sanding block
    Thanks for the recommendation of 400 grit. It worked great.

    Glad to see you breathing new life into that Poor Man's Strop, Brian! It was part of my very early SR kit, along with one of Larry's Sight Unseen razors. The hook that came with the kit is still in place, where one of Adam's @Drygulch strops (#45?) hung until my lil shaver grandson showed up. Glad to see Randy @BaylorGator found a new home for the ole starter gear!

    I think this was my first experience with Catie’s Bubbles. I was not impressed with the scent in the tub but liked it once it was whipped into a lather. I’m a fan of citrus scents and this lather. smells nice. It’s also a nice performer and I had a very nice shave.

    Back to the Fatboy for "Fatboy Friday". After shaving with the Autostrop for three days this week, it was nice to get back to a DE for today. We're about 5 weeks away from September and I'll likely spend more time with the AS then.

    On a different note, USPS claims that my B1 Repeater should be delivered today. :)

    My wife got back late last night, so the kids are happy. It was a terribly busy day at work yesterday, as everyone seemed to need something. I ended up taking today off as my parents are still here and my wife is back in town, so my weekend got started early. I should be getting a shave in shortly.
