That's kinda what I guessed. I was hoping it would be the other way around, but maybe that's a blessing...it's one less soap I need to acquire.
Very true. I would also advise against aggressive polishing of any non visible area on the razor. My guess is with a soft metal you could easily remove enough material to alter the blade seating or blade gap.

July 2018 July 29 Razor - Type E Schick Injector Blade - (1) Soap - Blood on Steel Brush - 30DC LE Post - Alum, Blood on Steel Three shaves left for July and I'm going to finish with the Type E Schick Injector. I have one of these but it is in fair shape at best. However, the one I'm using was brought to the meetup by @CarlfromMO in his giveaway box. The case, razor, and even the blade dispenser are in excellent shape. This is a shiny razor and I wanted to give it a run for its money. Since I obtained the razor at the meetup I pulled out the Blood on Steel soap, the 30DC LE brush and the after shave as well. No reason to skimp. Perfect lather from the limited edition duo and I was ready to shave. The injectors always provide a smooth shave and this one was no exception. I did my usual two passes and decided I wanted more, so it became a three pass shave. I finished that pass with the baby in bed and sleeping and a great face feel from the soap. Alum was quiet, and a small splash of the Blood on Steel A/S provided just a hint of burn and then just plain comfort and aroma. Ahhhhhhhh. That's how to finish a busy Sunday! Monday is quickly approaching! Hope everyone has a great day.
Also favor tallow. Also think mutton is the ultimate tallow. Agree as well that Soap Commander may, indeed, be the best non-tallow soap out there. Still contemplating the line about "back of a hot chick I want to rub tanning oil on."
You could always hide it in cartons of ice cream. Securely bagged with a black light stamp to identify it on the receiving end.
Sunday evening July 29 - comfort shave Delta Echo Ink black Gillette Black Beauty on 4 / Nacet (2) Simpsons CH2 Synthetic brush Fendrihan Lavender Sandalwood soap sample TSD Milk Aftershave Lavender Tonight I went with comfortable equipment that always works. One pass took me from several days stubble to a near DFS without any fuss or drama. The soap and balm provided a wonderful soothing lavender aroma. That was just what I needed - to get cleaned up for business tomorrow with no concentration necessary. My mother went into the hospital last Saturday. After severe deterioration in her condition, she was switched from full medical treatment to palliative care on Tuesday and was drifting in and out of consciousness ever since. This afternoon, she died. Tomorrow I meet with the funeral home to make the arrangements.
