Adam! I thought that you of all people would want that to be a category, for sheer entertainment value alone...although I can understand why photo/video proof is out of the question. Think about it...if someone is willing to manscape with an R41 (or a shavette, etc.), then finish it off with a Stirling "Glacial"....why shouldn't an award be handed out for that? And, for the record - No! I'm not participating in that category, nor to double, triple - or ANY sorta dares work on me.
I want to second that. I should second that. But the possibilities..........wait, no, it would involve pictures. Yep. Seconding that. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
Thanks. I bought a bar of the bath soap for one of the Ladies of the Manor. The scent was really, really good. I am glad to hear you say it has some strength to it. I need to use up some citrus soaps, but this one is going to be a replacement, for sure.
Straight Razor Newbie Two weeks in. Feeling much more comfortable now. Stropping is easier. Yeah I cut my strop. (please complete all strokes with razor closest to self). When I have time for 2 passes, (still a slow poke) it is not bad at all. Need more practice before I'm ready to drop finishing with my other stuff. Which reminds me, it seems like I'm more aware of the "feel" with other razors now. Whether I realize a total improvement on the old stuff will have to wait till my training ends. Many thanks to @Linuxguile and @BaylorGator for the conversations they started on honing. Both of these gentlemen have helped create a desire (enablement) in me for "the power of the dark side" Good reads. I'm glad I chose to begin with 2 razors with known edges. I think I can notice a drop off in the performance of the primary one. Not sure if I wanna jump to touch up honing yet or send it off. This is fun!
Exactly! Now we’re talking. As soon as those real Oreos are gone, VIVA LA REVOLUCION! Actually, this group isn’t used to real cookies, so they probably scarfed em down before the ribs hit the plate. We can probably go ahead and just start again now.
Gem Damaskeene (I think - correct me if I’m wrong) Some kind of generic Gem blade from CVS JR 113 brush Williams (new stuff) Pinaud Clubman AS Focus interrupted….. Late last year, my mother moved to the area where we live. She was interested in going to our local indoor flea market, and we finally got around to going yesterday. In a locked cabinet with a whole pile of other items, I spied three Gem razors. Naturally, I bought ‘em all. The only three razors I found in the entire place… On the way home, I dropped into CVS and got some blades….all set for my next shave…which brings me to this morning…my first shave ever with a Gem. Just to make Fuzzy @wchnu proud, I figured I’d kick it old school all the way (as much as I possibly could, with what I have). It took all of about two strokes to nail the angle, and it was off to the races. Three passes, plus the back of my neck. Easy peasy. I did get a couple of small weepers out of greed and laziness, but they went away immediately after a splash of water. Enjoyable shave, fantastic results. Think this calls for a few more rounds of Gem shaves. Have a great day, fellas! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
