I keep seeing that scent, and it’s been tempting. TOBS is very good, and decently priced. Congrats! Let us know how you like it, and how the scent is when lathered.

Thanks, Bruce. Aji hand polishes each razor himself. This thing is like a mirror inside and out.

One of the reasons I prefer aggressive safety razors is because the offer a much wider cutting angles, so I can adjust the angle during my shave, like an adjustable. For the same reason a straight has an even wider range of cutting angles. Straights have slightly different cutting angles depending upon their geometry and honing, so as I do different passes I can adjust the angle and adjust the aggressiveness. When I shave just under my nose I actually come in at 90 degrees and just flick the razor to get those difficult to hairs.

It is true there is point where a straight no longer cuts but pulls, but for each razor that angle is different.

That’s gotta be tedious. Looks like it pays off...just beautiful! I believe I see a blade in there....locked & loaded for tomorrow. ;)

He said that there was an orange note and that the tobacco was mild. He generally doesn't get too enthused with scents. He is a safety razor shaver and I view his videos because he has a nice on-screen personality and sometimes shows different soaps that are unbeknownst to me. He also has some interesting razors that he showcases. He doesn't have any interest in straight razor shaving, but I still subscribe to his channel.

    Superb shave, Bruce.
I have often thought about trying some of the Treet DE blades (there seem to be several lines). They all seem to be relatively inexpensive as well; I think I could get any of them for less than $10 for 100. Is the one you used today referred to as the black beauty Treet? I've heard good things about Treet Platinum, but have yet to try one.

Beautiful set up, Keith, as always. The MKII looks awesome on your wrist. Few men start their day with Tabac and rock such a beautiful timepiece.

Thanks for the kind words about Kathy. She is feeling a little better each day. We had no doctor's appointments today, so we slept in and then bummed around the transplant house. It felt good just to relax and hang out.

Eating (low appetite and still some nausea) and swallowing have been a challenge. Apparently, your throat "forgets" how to swallow if you go without eating long enough. She's having to retrain her throat muscles by sipping on drinks and eating a few bites as she can. She did manage to swallow 15 pills today...with the rest getting crushed, dissolved with water, and pushed into into her (temporary) feeding tube. Our 60-day checkup is next Friday, and I'm guessing our doc will release us to go home then or possibly the following week. And once the feeding tube can be removed, this song will be played on loudspeakers all over the Mayo Clinic campus:
