    Well, Bruce, if I don’t begin to enjoy it by October, then I’ll probably just chalk it up as a new learning. If I remain unable to achieve a VBBS, then I’ll be done with it. That’s the best part of a shave for me.

    Oh.. I see. Well, my soaps have never developed a lather where I could dive in with the razor. I was talkinabout diving in with the brush(which I don't do anymore).

    I was lucky as well. My Ralf Aust (boccote scales) , W F Engel, 2 C-Mons, F Herder, J A Henckels and my Wostenholm full hollow were purchased on Ebay! Seven straights that were shave ready and in excellent condition. I also bought a 1959 Fatboy on EBay that also arrived in excellent condition! You have to be prudent and diligent when buying gear on EBay.
