    Vanta Soligen shavette
    Feather blade-snapped (fresh)
Hembree Delrin handle with synthetic knot
    Soap Commander Honor shave soap
    Royal Copenhagen cologne

The lather was spot on this morning. We are really blessed with the amount of great soaps available to us today. Soap Commander will always have a place in my den.

I loaded a fresh Feather in the Vanta today.....hey why not....it was there. Awesome two pass shave with a spot of the red stuff that showed up late. It seems the Feather felt the need to clip a small bump. You would think by now I would have this pretty mug smoothed out. :D The alum was warm in a few spot but I would rate today's shave with a Paul Super Duper shave rating.

A little witch hazel and a few squirts of the Royal Copenhagen and I'm smooth and smelling good.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Awesome shave kit, Dave! I’m a model C (Valet/Gillette) Autostrop fan, although in all honesty I never owned or shaved with the vaunted A1. Schafmilch is good stuff. I’ll be shaving with my other mainstay for the next few shaves.
Enjoy your day, and keep a low profile so the boss doesn’t pick up on your hijinks! :D

Fabulous RA shave, Clint. I’ve also noticed how nicely it pairs with Evan’s first production brush! Enjoy your day, and try not to stress! Believe me, I speak from experience. The effects stay with us!

    Brush: Grizzly Bay PureMagic

    Good morning!

Excellent shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum.

My first experience with Stirlings Bergamot Lavender was as a sample. It was nice but not one I considered for a full size purchase. I threw it in my dopp kit for the 2019 30DC Meet-up and over those few days it really grew on me. I now have the full sized tub and look forward to anytime it comes up in the rotation.

    Have a great day!

Fine shave this morning. 0:40 to load the Rocky Mtn. Barber soap onto the Stoylin brush. This is my second shave with RMB Barbershop. As it is one of those "cream in a puck" offerings, it felt a little tight as I administered it to my face&neck. Or maybe it's due to the "fresh air" feel of it. But it certainly did the job for me in 2 passes. Once again(like yesterday)I didn';t get ALL I wanted at N.E. Porcupine, but the "better safe than sorry" approach has become me. No Knicks/cuts anywhere. I missed a little from the right cheek area, but figured I'd get it at the 2nd, which I did. Jawline and Cactus Nation look fine. What a nice, fresh feel of this shaving cream! The Osage proved to be a great finisher. Super Duper Excellent (that's three in a row for the SDE).

SOTD TUESDAY MORNING, JULY 27, 2021

I’ll kick off today’s shave with an honest admission. I’m a 74 yr old Vic Creazzi (Bluesman blades) and Howard Schechter (The Perfect Edge) fanboy! Vic’s razors and Howard’s “Constroption” are both apex products. There's been a fair bit of controversy in straight razor circles around honing techniques. 98% of us use flat hones but a select few are now touting the benefits of convex hones. A core part of their argument is to point to the Feather Super AC blades and how no existing user of flat hones can achieve a comparable edge on a straight razor. I respectfully call bushwah! How anyone wants to hone their razors is their business! They’ll have to shave with whatever edge they create. All I know is that Victor Creazzi’s razors arrive with a Feather super level edge and that Howard Schlecter’s “Constroption” maintains them magnificently.

I own two of Howard’s razors, and find them both to be superb shaving tools. Today’s mug shave features my Victor Creazzi Shorty. I love shorties because they seem to work best with the swirling whiskers on either side of my Adam’s apple. The blade size makes getting at those problematic areas easier than with a longer blade. In any case, three slow comfortable passes and I’m porcelain smooth. One of the best kept secrets in safety razor shaving is the Ronson razor. Developed in the thirties with a built in leather stropper for the thicker carbon steel blades of that era, it nevertheless delivers an awesome shave when equipped with a Schick B-20 Proline Injector blade. Two ATG passes left your very contented narrator cool, clean, and oh-so-smooth.

RAZOR: Victor Creazzi Damascus Shorty (Mug), Ronson Safety Razor (Noggin)
    BLADE: Schick B-20 Proline Injector
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
    BRUSH: JR Cashmere Synthetic #343
    CREAM: Nancy Boy Signature Scent
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Nancy Boy Signature Scent AS Gel.

    AoS Oud~~Morris & Forndran Ali Baba 2~~Wade & Butcher~~YSL M7 (2002 formula)
    July 27 and this is
approximately my 26th straight razor shave---my month's focus being only straights.
The Wade & Butcher is sharp, mos def©, but it is also a tad harsh.
Not pictured, is my crème du jour: Art of Shaving Oud.
The 100% Lee Sabini fan-knot is amazing and the handle is oh, so elegant.
Reasonable neck-work; smooth cheeks and jawline; no mishaps.
    That's a win-win in my books.
Broke out the 7th male fragrance from the house of YSL, when Tom Ford was running things.

A definite western "take" on Oud. Zero "barnyard", replaced by a cherry-Dr.Pepper vibe.

The Oud is sweet and with a hint of amber, morphs into a one-of-a-kind juice.
This is a real "unicorn" in my scent-den.

It's a beautiful morning on LI so why not enjoy a nice morning straight razor shave. Evan's brush whipped up a nice lather with this wonderful soap by Angora Soaps. It is very easy to lather and the lavender scent is really grand!
My first pass with the TI was a little rough because it was not taking down the whiskers so readily. The first pass was fine, but then I realized that I needed to refresh tbis razor with chromium oxide. Went to the pasted strop to "wake up" this razor. Second pass was against the grain and the difference in this razor's performance was quite noticeable. Had to do some touchup on the neck, but I ended with a BBS without any red liquid oozing down my face or neck.
Did my usual post shave routine and ended with the awesome aftershave. Have a great day guys!
