    Greetings,

    Parker 87r razor week.

A new shave set up to start the weekend...A new shave set up to start the weekend....The Korean Dorco st300/parker 87r matched together wonderfully, the Dorco st300 blade isn't the most aggressive blade, but i find them very smooth and forgiving.

My aim with every shave isn't to get a BBS, shave it's to get close comfortable error-free results. Today the st300 paired together wonderfully with the parker 87r resulting in a irritation-free 3 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...what more can a ask for...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Lidl Cien Aqua ASB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

Thanks, everyone. Kathy's surgery went very well, and she was released from the hospital earlier today. She has some minor discomfort and will be on a restricted diet for a few days; however, she has already noticed an improvement with her swallowing.

We're finished in MN, and we're extremely happy with the outcome. We'll stay a few more days to make sure everything is OK and then start home.

I decided to get our oncologist here a nice DE shave kit as our way of saying thanks for what he's done for us. :)

Hope you're well! That's good to hear - I know that they are manufactured in the US, which is why I thought I'd ask you guys! You'd know first if they stopped!

Those GEM blades will give your much-lauded straights a run for their money Master Jedi :yoda

Glad to be posting. Life just gets in the way sometimes. How are you Joseph?

I'm located over the pond on a small island... There's only one real supplier of GEM blades over here, and I was attempting ascertain why there is no stock! :(

Postage to the UK kills me on .com! Thank you for the link, though.

Great to be posting! How the devil are you pal?
    *Impossible* to beat! ;)

I've missed much of the backstory to this, but I know tremendous news when I read it. I am so pleased for you, Charlie. A DE shave kit sounds like a helluva gift!

I know it's been a while, but... Why do I see @clint64 using a blade that is not a Feather or a GEM PTFE? Man, the world is changing!

Razor 1: Bread Lame w/Bali double blade
    Razor 2: Rockwell 6s
    Blade: Wizamet (4)
    Brush: Sorrentino Clown Puke
    Soap: Current 1508.5 Haslinger Schafmilch
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
    AS 2: Proraso Green
    Fragrance: ???
    Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 976

So I was back and forth with the idea of actually shaving with the Bread Lame. At times I would be like what's the big deal, slow and easy......we got this. Then reason came in and I thought about how thin the blade is and the screw etc on the lame made it hard to get the correct angle. Up pops Mayhem again and says just double up the blade to make it rigid. Reason says that won't make it rigid enough. Turns out that when I woke up and was starting to shave Mayhem was up again and said I should at least try it. With the 1st few strokes I could feel the tugging of the blade fighting to get thru the hair with no real rigidity or support. On about the 6th stroke the messed up angle won and I got a pretty good slice/flap............

This is when Reason showed up again and I switched to the 6s Plate 5 to wrap up that pass and another at which time I thought I should end at 2 passes and stem the flow of blood before the wife wakes up and eye rolls me worse than she will be anyway. Bread - Lame 1 Dave - Zero and Dave forfeits the fight. I just need the flap to heal before the Essence Tedalus shows up for a test run...........Have a fun day folks !
