    made for a few short years during the 1960's.

    Actually I got it yesterday. That's 2 days before what was the original date. It's a lovely fragrance, probably more barbershop than anything else(says "Savon Barbe"). Nice song by Carly Simon Taylor(or is it just Simon now that they're divorced).

    Soap Commander performs well. I used Honor and it was fine. However, I like the Vision better.

    Great shave today, following the Pythagorean Theory Of Shaving(how the face looks AFTER, not DURING the shave). Another chill shave from Stoylin Glacial Sheep. Got good face&neck coverage with it. Nice work along the cheeks and I had a small miss on the right sideburn(low).3 Knicks happened alongside S. Porcupine-harmless, but there they were. North is fine. Fine job down at Cactus. The cold-water rinse and Clubman Gent's Gin A.S.(cooling)weakened and in a couple cases, got rid of the Knicks. Happy and ready to face the day. Outta This World Excellent.

    Decided to go for a shavette shave today so I brought out my Parker.
    I decided to bowl lather the entire month using my different brushes. Currently, I would say synthetic brushes do a fantastic job bowl lathering.
    However, the Pro 49 did not do a shabby job. Here's the pic:

    Did a nice 2.5 pass shave and it was a nice, smooth, comfortable and errorless shave. The Winner blade is sharp and easily took my 38 hr whiskers down without any problems. The alum feedback was slight. Finished with the witch hazel and the Pinaud-Clubman Classic aftershave. The Soap Commander Vision scent profile is Aqua, musk and mint. It is a masculine scent, but the mint and the aqua minimizes the musk's dark note. The Pinaud-Clubman Classic paired well.with the soap.

    I made enough lather to do a 3 pass headshave with my G E Jones ShakeSharp that Jeff @jgreenepa gave me. I pray that he is recovering nicely. The result was a cueball smooth shave. Used the same postshave items and I am clean and refreshed. Sorry no pics on the ShakeSharp. Have a nice day!

    I had a nice shave with the Hawk v3 and the open comb with a fresh ProGuard blade. This might be a good blade for the open comb plate. I will also try a mild blade.

    Mixed a dab of TOBS Almond with the MWF and got really thick lather. Nice 3-pass shave with minimal cleanup. WTG, ATG, XTG left me really smooth. The ProGuard blade felt better when I rode the cap. I think this open comb plate needs to be done by riding the cap. I am really liking the Hawk!

    I had a few errands to run this morning so I am posting a bit later today. Stocking up the pantry!

    Thank you Gary-looking forward to trying my new soap soon-it's tallow, but goes right up to the top. Should I use s brush, or fingers? I suppose either way could be messy at first, but I'm not sure for now since there's little if any "wiggle room".

    Thanks Gary! When I first started shavette shaving with my Dovo, I learned to shave with the 1/2 DE Blade. Admittedly, it is different than shavette shaving with the long Personna Hairshaper blades because I can cover more ground in a shorter time.
