My final shave with The Bunny. It's been a great experience trying a prototype.
Today I switched soap hoping for a less raw feeling. The RazoRock XXX was new to me, as is Saponificio Varesino. (<-Thank you @Marverel ) Going from a moist croap to what I assume is a triple milled hard soap put me in a better lather. I got an airy & dry at first. After loading the brush again the yogurt appeared.
The Bunny is an aggressive machine. If I owned one I think I'd be happy using the MILD comb. I wonder if less is better? If blade exposure =WILD > NOTSO > MILD > (LESS-SO?) <- Would there be any blade contact if the comb extended more? It might be about exposure, but also Angle of Attack?
The common angle of an Injector is with the handle tipped towards the face. The Bunny worked best for me at closer to perpendicular. To adjust the sweet spot would require machining the very tip end at a less than 90 degree angle, and adjusting the bend of the top spring.
Other than my New-To-Injectors issue about learning to load a fresh blade this was a very positive experience. Solid tooling. Precise fit of components. Professional finish. Great packaging. Anyone that's curious should look into signing up for a test ride.
Thank you for your Stewardship Vince @Rufus T.

    Way behind on TSD!

Mechanical delay in KC, waiting on my flight...

Jumping back to straights later to focus on blade angle for June. The Schick G has earned a permanent spot as the travel razor for most trips. And since I am stuck on a delay in KC... Did not forget SDS, but it will be later in Colorado after my next flight!

    Here is the plan:

    June 5

    Razor - CJB Greager
    Blade - [IMG] (6)
    Soap - Tabac
Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip
Post - Cold rinse, Alum, The Veg

Slept in this morning before my usual noon start at work. Took a bit of extra time on the shave this morning and nearly ran late. i enjoyed a hot towel on my face to really soften things up after my shower, then went with the Tabac and Wolf. Got a fantastic lather. One of the best I've had lately and picked up the Greager and Dorco. I will say that on day 6 on the blade I may be sensing just a hint of wear on the blade. The first shave with it was my head shave two weeks ago, though, so that probably should count for at least two shaves if not three due to the heavier stubble. I only shave my head once a week so it's a bit heavier than my face shave. And a larger area. Still, the blade has performed well. Just a couple of spots I had to cover in a touch up plus the two passes to get a BBS! Yes, the baby showed up to join me in a Sunday shave.

Alum was a bit stingy in the spots I had to touch up. Other than that it was nice and quiet, and the Veg added just the proper amount of masculine scent and freshness. I actually used it more as a body splash today.
Two more days on this setup then I'll move to the Gold Dollar 800. Looking forward to seeing what I can do with the bigger straight razor for a week.

I'll be doing some catch up around here tonight and of course over the next two days when I'm off. Be on the lookout! I hear shenanigans have been spotted nearby.

Hope you all had a great Sunday! I'll leave you with a bit of a warning!

Shower- Noxzema facial cleaner, Dr. Bronner's All-One Hemp Citrus bar soap
    Brush- RazoRock Tri-Colored
Razor- Muhle R41 on a Maggard MR5 handle
    Blade- Voskhod (1)
Soap- Route 66 Barbershop Hop with M-Bomb
Post Care- Thayers Witch Hazel with grapefruit EO and M-Bomb
    Hugo Boss cologne

Not the greatest shave today. I used a brand new Voskhod, took my time and rode the cap but ended up with a few weepers but a DFS. It might be a bad blade as I had better performance last month from this brand. I'll try another tomorrow but for now the GSB is still king. The Route 66 lathered wonderfully and I used a lot of M-Bomb trying to escape this Phoenix heat. It worked momentarily.

I must ask for forgiveness from the cartel for speaking ill of the Voskhod. I hope a new one works better tomorrow. Have a great day folks!

Well the Cartel certainly understands that the Voskhod isn't for everyone. In fact, here's the last gentleman to speak ill of the blade.

Post: Cold water rinse, Maggard alum, witch hazel, Gillette after shave balm

I decided to take it easy tonight and just do 3 passes but still got a near BBS shave tonight. My first pass was WTG and almost couldn't tell that I was shaving till I looked down and saw the stubble in the sink. As I rinsed off I felt how good a reduction I got so onto the next pass. Second pass was XTG and I still couldn't tell how good a job I did till I rinsed off. I thought of stopping right there but I went ahead for a third Pass ATG and was near BBS. I didn't go for a cleanup and just rinsed my face off with cold water and applied the alum. I got a little tingle on my neck but nothing on my cheeks, I rinsed off a little again and applied the witch hazel. The last time I used the Gillette after shave balm it burned pretty good but I thought since the alum didn't burn this time I would try it again. So I did and was pleasantly surprised at the very mild tingling it gave me. All in all I was very happy with my shave and at the blade as it performed well in it's 4th day of use. I'm beginning to wonder how long these blades will last, to be continued ....

    SHAVE DEN SUNDAY

Unseasonable hot weather in Seattle = 90+
So I'm choosing another cold water shave.

    Cool shower, cold water shave.
    Razor: 1965-80 Schick Type L1/L7
    Blade: Schick (China)
    Brush: Stirling Kong synthetic
    Soap: TSD Yin Yang, M-bombed
    TSD Witch Hazel
    AS: TSD Yin Yang

    Two-day growth, two-pass shave - XTG, ATG

Second shave with the L7, but I decided to try the L1 at the same time since they look very similar. L1 on right side, L7 on left.

Great reduction on first pass with both razors. 2nd pass left me mostly dolphin smooth with no touch-ups or buffing.

My face felt very cool for the rest of the hot evening. I may just continue the cold shaves for at least the rest of the summer.

    Cheers!
