Same here... I'd really like to experience how completely horrible the Fat is.

Are you offering it in return for the Marvy (which really *should* be removed from the market)? :)

Nacet is a serviceable blade. Not much more. I agree with you. Better than a Shark, nowhere near Voskhod or GSB.

The Fat can take some work to learn but it is totally worth it in my book.

I keep hearing that. I'm hoping that by the end of the month this soap will make me as happy as a soap that doesn't require so much work. Route 66 has been wonderful since day one. I know it's YMMV but so many people love MWF that I was sure it's me doing something wrong.
If I still don't like it at the end of the month, it's going into the shower to be used as body soap.

I'm sure shaving with a nice wedge will bring you luck. :sport001:

Well they do make hand and body soaps as well. Or repackage it for that.

A bit of a rough start, as the weather in Houston has everything delayed. It's not all bad though, I have a chance to catch up here while waiting.

    Jolly Good June!

    June 2

    Razor - CJB Greager
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Tabac
    Brush - BoS Omega 10066
Post - Cold rinse, Alum, The Veg

Day two of the Greager and Dorco. Grorco? Nah, too hard to say. Switched the soap to Tabac today along with the Omega 10066. I want to like Tabac as my number one soap. I really do. And, on days I use it, I think I've made it that. Then I go back to the Fat and have to bow in honor of its lather and feel. Nice to have these two soaps in the number two slots. You can't go wrong. Well, not much anyway. Got the Tabac a little dry to start but added a bit of water in the face lather and it came right to life. That's one if its strengths is the ability to accept water and fine tune in.

Two passes again today with some touchup after, mostly to practice a couple of difficult angles. A bit rough on the neck as the alum proved hot in a few places, but no blood or other problems. I'll take it!

The Veg for the perfect final touch. Almost used the Clubman but thought better of it and stayed with the one, the only, the Mighty.

Hope you all had a great day! Not used to these good shaves and having little to report other than mmmmmmmmmmm GOOD!

Tonight I got my first BBS shave!

    SOTD
    6/2/16

Pre: warm shower, Nivea face wash, cold water rinse

    Razor: Gillette FatBoy
    Blade: Ladas (2), Gillette 7 O'clock super stainless (2)
Brush: TGN Finest in Olivewood handle
    Soap: Haslinger Sandalwood

Post: cold water rinse, Maggard alum block, witch hazel, Nivea sensitive cooling after shave balm

Don't know how I got the BBS shave tonight because it started out rough. I bloomed my soap and set my brush to soak before my shower, after that I sat down for about 5 minutes and then went to my shave. I rinsed my face with cold water and then applied the bloom water to my face, I emptied the last of the bloom water into the sink and then went to make my later. As I started trying to lather it didn't do so well, I looked at my brush and it looked a little slimy but I kept trying to get it to lather. I finally gave up and went to my face and it erupted with thick lather on my face. Ok great I thought and loaded the Ladas in my Gillette on setting 2 and went for my first pass WTG making sure I rode the cap. Well that was uncomfortable, so I ditched the Ladas and grabbed my Gillette 7 O'clock for XTG pass that felt so smooth I couldn't believe the difference. Third pass was ATG and it was smooth as well, so I went for a little clean up and Bam there it was BBS! I couldn't Believe it so I rubbed my neck in all different directions and it was true. I went through my end of shave routine, Alum which gave me a little sting but wasn't bad followed by the witch hazel and then the Nivea and there it was a BBS shave. I don't know how I did it or what I did different this time but I finally got a BBS shave. As one of other members say I was Flipper smooth and that my friends brought a big smile to my face. I can't wait for my straight to get here so I can try that, but tonight was a small victory in my shaving!

Is that the single Ladas I sent you?

Yea, unfortunately I had high hopes for it. I tried it in that Fat handle tech, then I tried it in my Gillette Fatboy. I said I ditched it, but I just took it out and switched for my Gillette blade.
