Happy birthday Andrew! Iced pineapple is a great way to start it.

Thanks, Andrew! I'm going to keep the Rex on 4 for awhile. I'm sticking with the Rex until I have 30 shaves on it. I was looking at my shave buddy app and I don't have 30 shaves with any of my razors, the closest being the Timeless Bronze with 29 shaves. When I get the 30 in on the Rex I'll probably switch to the Timeless .95 and do 30 consecutive with it. It will be tough, I feel like a kid in a candy store when I'm picking out a razor ro use.

We’re only a couple weeks into the kids summer break and just realized that between planned activities, work trips, family weddings, etc. we had limited opportunities for a family beach trip. So yesterday we piled in the car, drove three hours across the state, and checked in to our favorite beach spot for a couple days. Shortly after checking in, I started getting chills, ended up with a high fever and sweat and shook my way through a night of misery. Not the mini vacation I’d planned, but I guess if I’m gonna feel lousy, I might as well do it while looking at the Gulf of Mexico.

I haven’t done a very good job of keeping up with the thread lately.
Spent the weekend at our RV spot at the lake. Took out a tub of TSE Beach Bum, a tube of Proraso Green, a British Aristocrat Jr w Astras, a Schick I1 w Personna Twins, Thayers, Stirling Balm and Florida Water for shaving there over quite a few weekends the next 3 months or so. I have 3 weeks vacation coming as well, and should be well-stocked for shaving if we head out there for any trips. Shaved yesterday with the Beach Bum, Aristocrat Jr and Florida Water. No pics, but a decent enough shave.
Shaved back home this morning. I don’t know if a ball-end Old Type counts for a ‘basics’ focus, but I went with it anyway. Pulled the Seville after seeing some posts about it the past week or so and it definitely counts for a ‘Just for Fun June’ focus. It seems to pair well with the Barbershop as well.
Nice 3 pass shave with this venerable old shaver, but I’ll be travelling tomorrow for work. I’ll take my travel set up and come back to this OT on Wednesday.
    Have a great day all!

Sounds like a great summer ahead!
My grandpa and grandma used to keep a little trailer up at Green Mtn. Reservoir every summer. They would go up every Friday afternoon when my grandpa got home from work and head back Sunday evening. Most weekends they would take me or my brother. Wonderful memories of my grandpa teaching me how to catch and clean fish and breakfasts my grandma would make. Eggs, hashbrowns, toast and rainbow trout. Ah, to be a kid again.

Love the woods in that pic, Clint. The bowl and brush look fantastic together!
Another cool effect, Jim. That Fern will give in eventually!
    Happy Birthday, Andrew!
I love that Brush every time you show it, as well.
I hope you get some rest and start feeling better again, Randy. You guys have had some bad luck with that recently.

Thank you, Jason. I don't know; I am starting to think it has a self refilling feature.
