Great lookin’ shave, Jared. Congrats on winning the contest. If nothing else, you’re finally getting another brush. ;)

Keep us posted on the Glide. IIRC, Randy is just so-so on it. CRSW makes some excellent soaps, though...very slick.

Sorry about the cut. But, at least you got cut by a beautiful razor!

Too busy for a pic today so credit for the pic goes to Koraat.

That is why I gave it just an A for irritation, except for the small cut there was no irritation.

It is a double bevel with a double shoulder. I found some big full hollows flex when I shave with them, this blade does not flex at all.

:ban: I gained weight just looking at it.

Y0u have everything you need to get where you want to be. Just need some practice and experimentation to get the prefect edge for you. That is why I call straight razors the ultimate adjustable.

Way behind again. Had a good 3 pass hotel shave early this morning. Everything worked as it should, and I think the Tabac and Tech are keeping it on focus a bit. I am home now after about 3 hours drive and I’m looking forward to a relaxing shave in the morning.
Have a great night all, and I am off to try to catch up on the thread a bit.

    Just for Fun June!

    June 26

    Razor - 1959 (E4) Gillette Fatboy
    Blade - voskhod-teflon-coated.jpg (2)
Soap - Jeeves of Hudson Street Bay Rum
    Brush - 30DC LE
    Post - Alum

Sticking with the Fatboy for some June fun as the month winds down. Voskhod loaded, the Jeeves Bay Rum with the 30 DC brush - no brainer and very nice. Two passes, touch ups, and the baby is in the house. It's nice to have spent so many days just playing around with good gear, going a bit minimalist with it and just getting good shaves.

My wife has finished with the decorating in my den. She and I had picked out four pictures of patent drawings for barber shop/shaving gear. I took tonight's picture in front of the patent drawing for the G.W. Korn Straight Razor, patent applied for in 1901. This is the one that is visible as you walk in the door right in front of you above the towels. Love this and its three brethren. I'll share a different one over the next few nights.

Man I gotta get one of the folding Feathers. I really like the looks of that and who knows.....maybe using a pain stick version of a straight will inspire me to get over my hatred of stropping. I've got some straights that need to be loved!

Well it's 3 am on the 27th, My B-Day Woo Hoo! I'm fixing to go to bed and will decide when I get up what razor, soap, brush I'm going to use for my Birthday shave. So many choices so little face, will I go with my new One Edges V2, or maybe my Schick repeater type A. Maybe, just maybe I will break out my B-Day razor, my T2 Black Beauty adjustable. Just like the razors I have many to chose from I may have to do eny miney, or put them in a circle and spin a bottle. I just wanted to say thank you all to my friends on here who have helped me when I got started on this wonderful journey of wet shaving, you know who you are. I am very grateful to all of you! Talk to you later with my report on my B-Day Shave.

Neal, it is great to see you posting again. The artwork your Bride used to decorate your Den looks great. I look forward to seeing the other three drawings.

I'm also shaving with the Fatboy this month. I currently have it loaded with good 'ole Russian steel (Astra SP) in your honor.
