You’ve got the full Ogallala lineup. How does the soap compare to others you’ve used? Great photo as usual Jim.

As usual another excellent post and photo. Is Mike’s Bay Rum heavy on the clove scent?

Thanks Clint. Mmmmmm. Heavy on the clove...to the best of my recollection, not nearly as heavy as the Ogallala. Tough for me to answer, because I am a fan of Bay Rum. CC, WSP, Krampert's, even B&M are pleasing to me.

I really like Captain's Choice so I think Mike's will work. I will put in on the Christmas suggestion list I give to the girls.

Thank you, Clint! This was my first use of the soap, so I'll need a few more to give a true review. My initial impressions are OK. Not exactly great, but not to bad either.

A very early morning shave that I am just now getting a chance to post. Inspired by @Primotenore , I used a Mike's soap for today. Mike'sVetiver is just straight forward earthy vetiver at its best. The RV Rover loaded and lathered the soap easily. Two passes and touch ups ended just short of a perfect shave which is more than good enough for O Dark Thirty in the morning. The post shave feel of Mike's is first rate and when combined with a splash of Fine Fresh Vetiver left me feeling good. I hope everyone had a great Friday.

    Thanks, gentlemen!

Jason, I love to hear family stories like yours. Thanks for sharing it. When I was kid in the 60s and 70s, I vaguely remember my Dad using a Gillette adjustable (probably a Slim) and later, a Trac II. I wish I had some of my Dad's old razors, but I don't. The house I grew up in had a blade disposal slot in the medicine cabinet. I'm pretty sure there's a zillion of my Dad's used DE blades sitting in the wall.

I love it when field observations validate the theory.

Theory is OK, but I've always been a huge fan of practical application.

Andrew, you've been knockin' it out of the park on your photos of the REX Ambassador. It's a beautiful razor and appears to be a joy to use!

It looks like Logan is enjoying corn on the cob! As a man with no kids of my own, I suggest fixing him a plate with fried chicken, his very own cob of corn dripping with butter, mashed potatoes, and gravy. Give him about 10 minutes to work on his summertime meal and then take a photo for us. I believe he'd give it a 120% effort. All kidding aside, he sure looks like a sweet boy with a great disposition. You are blessed, my friend.
