That's a great memory you have Clint. I have none of those.

 

I guarantee that I do. I also tend to use smaller brushes when I face lather from a stick.

 

Actually it’s a Kent, but since it’s the dinner hour, we won’t talk about that. But if any of you 30DC guys ever see it on a BST, you should probably just walk away.

 

I also buy Girl Scout Cookies we just give away, buy all the popcorn tubs, candy bars, magazines, OMG, we actually had a group selling cases of 60w incandescent lightbulbs last year... (course that one was actually really cool, and my wife bought up so many bulbs, I had to make space in my garage rafter shelving...)

But this soap is really cool cause a kid made it. I might be a sucker, but I promise I wouldn’t have bought a second tub (at least not shy of a year’s fundraising time) if it wasn’t really good soap.

You’re a lucky dude. My family NEVER, EVER buys me anything I ask for. As my wife says, “If you really wanted it, you’d already have bought it.”

I get socks and underwear. Of course that’s really cool cause I don’t have to buy socks and underwear.

Monday’s Shave was awesome. New soap was a gift for Father’s Day, and I like it a lot. Staley Liveblade Head on a Windrose handle. Going to be sad when I run out of these vintage Wilkinson blades. Hope everyone had a good father’s Day. I have about 25 pages to catch up on.

 

Ahemm... This is the 30 Day Rule / Focus Discussion and Picture thread? Not sure about Jared @PickledNorthern and his Kent brush, but I'd enjoy both then and now photographic evidence for further evaluation of this discussion.

Why yes, I am still alive. It's been several days since I've posted, I know, and I can only say life is crazy and busy, or has been at least. Best laid plans of mice and men and all that. I'm fine, other than work being a little out of control in ways nobody expected, and this is a busy week. Today is my wife's birthday, and tomorrow, in addition to being the first day of Summer, is also my anniversary. Look for me to be back in full strength sometime on Friday with lots of news, info and other assorted mischief.

In the meantime, my shaves have been a mix of Fun and Basic and a combination of both. Razors have been my '59 Fatboy and my Gillette Tech. Blades have been Voskhod and Astra. Brushes mostly boar - the Semogue 620 and Omega 10066 along with the VDH Boar. Soaps - with the Tech the VDH soaps and with the Fatboy I enjoyed the Stirling Iced Coffee.

I'm hopelessly buried in posts this month even though it's been a bit slower. I get it. June is a busy month in spite of vacations! Hope you have a fantastic Thursday tomorrow!
