I'm not sure which picture is better, the food or the shave!

I imagine the mixed knot has a lot of backbone. Great pairing and photo.

You're killing me here. Thinking Thai food for lunch and its not even breakfast yet.

Friday at last. Whew, what a week. I have not used the El Caballero in a long time which I will try to make sure doesn't happen again. The scent is an interesting blend of bay rum and cologne which I enjoy. The DK7 made short work of whipping up a rich slick lather. Two passes and touch ups ended in a near perfect shave. A splash of Krampert's left my face feeling refreshed and ready for the day. I hope everyone has a great Friday.

That will be a great shave. As I recall the angle can be different on those. No luck needed!!

There were two options for knot depth, I chose the lower. I'm happy with the result.

    Mike's Natural Soap - unscented
Thayers, Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Trumper's Coral Skin Food

After a no-shave Thursday, I had another nice easy, two-pass shave this morning with FB on 5. I paid attention and just enjoyed the process of the building a nice lather and stretching the skin. I finally caught up on the thread, and it has been a pleasure to read about everyone's shaving exploits and see the wonderful SOTD photos this month.

I'm not a "no buy" guy, but I'm in a place right now where I have all the shaving hardware and software I want or need. :shocked003: Even though I'm seeing some beautiful new razors and brushes, I'm quite happy enjoying and using what I have. I've thinned the herd over the past couple of years down to what I really like. I may even thin it down a bit more. I'm also using down my soap and cream inventory, but that's gonna be a long process. I can see myself ending up with two or three favorite soaps or creams and being quite happy. MdC (for the scent), Mike's Natural Soap (for the skin feel), Tabac (shave stick for travel), and TOBS creams (best cream for the money, IMO, and scents galore) are tops for me. On blades, I'll wind up with mostly Feather, Voskhod, and Astra SPs after I use up a few odds and ends of other blades I've picked up over the past few years. The only two blades I'd replenish, if I ever needed any, would be Feathers and Voskies. I don't use a lot of aftershave, so the bottles I have now should last a really long time. I find myself reaching for the Fine L'Orange Noir and Platinum more than any other. I just love those two scents. I also plan to continue with my beloved witch hazel and unrefined shea butter, as I think it really helps my skin. This could all change tomorrow, I suppose, but that's where I am today.

It's been a busy week as we've finalized construction plans on our new home. I'll post some photos as the construction begins. I'm up to speed on different HVAC systems, faucets, and toilets if you have any questions. I will refer all paint, cabinet, and flooring questions to my Bride. And, of course, @BaylorGator will continue to field any fine silverware, china, or bidet-related questions you may have.

Some friends have invited my Bride and me to join them at Churchill Downs today. We're not gamblers, but we love to see the goings on at the track. I also heard there'd be some good food involved. It is shaping up to be a nice day and a little cooler here, so that's a bonus.

I hope you all have a great Friday!

Sounds like a nice, relaxing shave to end the week. Good for you finding your happy place in your shaving journey. I need to get there soon, I'm running out of room to put stuff. Have a great weekend!
