Shave number thirteen on the Wilkinson Super Sword Edge blade. It's starting to get a little tuggy but still produced an excellent result. With eight days left in June I'll estimate four or five more shaves on that blade. We'll see if it acquires the "buttery" stage that others (not I) have experienced.

Thanks Jason. We had a great time with our friends at the track today. We sat in the Winner's Circle close to the Finish Line. It was a great way to view the races.

Fresh blade in the MMOC this morning felt soooo good. I know some say the PTFE takes 1-3 (face) shaves to mellow but my best head+beard shaves are the first two.

My buddy suggested a very small dose of melatonin to beat my week long jet lag and it has indeed worked, last three days have been able to sleep til 7.

No pics but my former manager (who lives next door) made a fabulous Khmer curry with a perfect balance of spicy and sweet -- Khmer food doesn't use chillis as liberally as Thai -- and it was lunch with bread, dinner with rice. Great cook. I gave her husband a Slim a couple years ago, I should check in and see if he's still using it.

I've settled into a morning routine which involves after my shave a brief walk to a local cafe for two Americanos. Lavazza Super Crema, very well prepared, and despite lacking in freshness a really fine cup. $1.75 here. There is a well known local roaster and while his beans are excellent it still takes a barista who knows what they're doing, and for whatever reason my Lavazza guy is delivering a better cup.
