Andrew, that's just a beautiful photo of the Rex Ambassador. I'm glad it's working so well for you! Seeing Logan on Friday is a highlight of my week. He's a precious little guy. You are truly blessed, my friend.

No worries Fuzzy, my breath control is A-1. I have an Autostrop VC4. Still NOS. Not sure if I'll ever give it a go.

Same here, guys. I used no scented products before I started this wet shaving thing. Now, lavender is one of my favorites.

Another excellent shave this morning. I will use the C&E West Indian Lime shave cream 3 times a week until it is gone. While I enjoy the cream well enough, it falls into my "not buy again" category. An ATG pass followed by XTG pass and touch ups ended in a near perfect shave. A splash of Myrsol Limón and I am ready ready for the day.

John, my heart just skipped a beat. Time to restock on blades! If you can't measure your blade inventory in lbs or kgs, then you need more. Cubic feet is also an acceptable measure. :D

You win today's Mr. Fancy Pants Award, Joseph. That's a beautiful razor. I was fortunate to pick up a NOS Gillette New SC awhile back. I slapped that sucker smack dab into the rotation, and it made me as happy as a pig in mud. Translation: You might consider using that immaculate Autostrop on a routine basis, kind Sir, and in doing so, I expect you would derive great enjoyment. Plus, I just think it would flat out make Fuzzy jealous. :happy102:

Thank you Charlie. It is way past time to get the motorcycle out for a ride. I am going to try and get out for a ride tomorrow morning.

That’s really pretty. I’m not really a “safe queen” kind of a guy, but I’d have a hard time using that one. I’d probably even buy another one first, just to try it out and see if it’s worth defiling.

RV Handle with Shavemac Two-band Silvertip
    Mike's Natural Soap - unscented
Thayers Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Trumper's Coral Skin Food

I was still fairly close from yesterday, so I performed a quick one-passer with a few touch ups this morning. I still have a few more shaves left using the Mike's Natural Soap. I'm also trying to finish up the bottle of Coral Skin Food...it's OK but not something I'd buy again.

I'm expecting a visit later today from a good friend I've known since childhood. He's staying with us tonight and accompanying us to church in the morning. It will be fun to catch up with him. I hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Successfully competed my first touch up on the Dovo and continued the journey to the dark side. A DFS shave today confirms that I’m on the right track.

Better hit the head @wchnu, I am about to get verbose again.
I am a late-comer to the Barrister & Mann line of products. I cannot really explain why, but I have to say, except for the soaps that are brownish and come with the disclaimer: "Recommend a synthetic or dedicated brush" (because of possible staining of the bristles), I am fully on board. I have this Cologne Russe, Bay Rum, Seville and Leviathan (Oceana, my son took!) and I can't say enough good things about them. From the tubs, to the labels, to the customer service and I haven't even started in on the quality of the product.
What a lather, what scents (Even my former Lavanille was tremendous, just yucky, brown lather!), what glide and cushion, marvelous.
Tablespoon of water softened the top of the soap and my M&F Finest sucked up the soap like a Hoover.
With my Aesop bowl, I was able to create bountiful, glistening, shave lather.
The M&F feels like a mink stole or a soft bunny caressing my face.
Don't mistake that statement for "floppy"; on the contrary, the fan knot has the perfect amount of resistance vs. give. A+
Fuzzy, if you need to take a break, please feel free to do so now.
(Waiting for Fuzzy to relieve his over-active bladder...:happy097:)........
    ....................................................................................
    And we're back,

What can one say about the 1947 Super-Speed. This razor is one Gillette's finest creations. Excellent balance, comfortable and grippy handle, good geometry of the head, which allows for accurate sideburn trimming, etc. One of my favorite TTOs.
Suffered the rare nick above my Adam's apple and because I take an 81mg aspirin daily,
it bled enough to warrant the very-rare styptic pencil.

Buffing abounded and finished with the matching AS. The scent reminds me a bit of Clubman SR, but I thought the same thing about the Lavanille, so maybe my nose is losing its touch.
