  3. That’s not surprising at all. If it’s not bumper to bumper on 400 I can go 80mph and get passed like I was standing still.

    Soap Commander Grab Bag SS
    Omega #10049 boar brush
    Suribachi bowl, cool water
    Univinlions Salon razor
    Feather AC Professional blade
    Nivea Cooling Post Shave balm
SOTD 06142019 Traveling Box gear.gif The Traveling Box is visiting my den at the moment. I'm the last stop before it heads back to The Originator Jeff @stingraysrock. That put me in the position of asking question about what he'd like to see when The Box returns home. Turns out he's a hardware Minimalist already knowing which razor & brush works best for him. So I'm picking the bones, shuffling all the gear, and trying out a few items to see if I want to keep em before refilling and shipping it on for Round Two of The Traveling Box Tour. First item in today's shave is a grab bag of product from Soap Commander. "Grab Bag" you ask? Yup, it's experimental scents, tag ends from soap production runs, and such - all the regular quality soap base but unknown scent. Gave me an opportunity to try a new to me lather. For a veggie mix it's decent stuff, and I hear they are one of the suppliers that make an Old Spice scent so lather quality curiosity satisfied. Just might keep the three big hunks in different colors. I whipped it up using a slightly used Omega boar brush. I know what a well broken in one looks and feels like. I also enjoy the breakin process while they are still scrubby. It's a keeper though I may use the knot in another handle. It's not "brand new" since there was no boar funk, instead the slight remnants of scent from it's last lathering & the sticker was gone. A quick Dawn dish liquid wash out, a test lather with the SC sample, and the third use by me satisfied. The kami-shavette performed well with grips coming more natural every shave. Still have a place on my chin that defies stubble removal & I scored one dribbly nick that sealed up with the post shave product. That was a product I've seen around in SOTD's and on the store shelf - Nivea Sensitive balm. I do prefer alcohol splashes, but I gave in and tested the full bottle. It's creamy, absorbed quickly, and has a scent similar to other lightly scented products. As to face feel I can't tell if the soap or PS balm is the winner, but I'm happy with the results.

    Good evening, guys!
Just finished my SR shave # 81.
I randomly picked my 5/8 Wosty square point. I used my new Razorock Classic SS. It is supposed to smell like almond/marzipan, and it faintly does, but it has a medicinal smell as well. It isn't a deal breaker for me. I used my Rocky to face lather. Razorock lathers very easily and it provides some cushion, but the slickness doesn't reach Stirling's standard. But then again, what soap does? Please don't answer because I don't want to be enabled. Lol! Anyway, the shave was ok because the razor lost some of it's sharpness. I had to do 2 passes and major touchups just to get an IBSS-. On the bright side, I didn't get any cuts, nicks, weepers or irritation. The next time I use this razor, I will have to refresh it with Crox and then barber hone it. It wasn't one of my best shaves, but it wasn't a disaster. People wouldn't know by looking at me that I wasn't super smooth so I am presentable. Finished with Aqua Velva Ice Blue.
    Result: Grade 92 = A-
    Have a great evening, men!

  20. I find a huge difference between Razorock/TFS soaps that are the Super Tallow base, and those that aren’t., Joe. Not sure which that one is.
