  2. Many years ago, my sister-in-law was a server at a local Holiday Inn restaurant. She called home one evening to tell my Bride (she was in High School at the time) that the group Chicago was eating there. Long story short, my Bride rounded up some of her friends, and they went down to meet them. They got autographs and then hung out with them for awhile. For the longest time, she kept the autographed paper napkin in her jewelry box. Good times.

I don't like to brag, but in the 1970s, I saw Eddie Money and the group Boston. They played and sang for me and 15,000 of my closest friends. My ears are still ringing.

  3. Nice, Adam!
I almost picked one of the flat top knots because I don't have one. I just couldn't warm to the appearance. A boar knot would look great in that handle.
That has me wondering if the knotless handle is still available?

  5. I love Boston's music.....Yes they do ring the ears of their listeners. My favorites(in no particular order, except #1-Hitch A Ride). Then we have It's Easy(Takin' It Day By Day), Peace of Mind, Let Me Take You Home Tonight, Don't Look Back, Something About You

Sure are Paul! I've been polling TSD Members on their choice of Shulton Old Spice scented shave soaps. Stirling soaps are a great value and the lather is just good stuff. I've not tried many Barrister & Mann soaps, and only recently got a chance to sample Soap Commander - the other two companies that make an OS dupe soap. When I ordered my set of 2019 Blood on Steel soap & As, I added a puck of the Stirling Spice. It'll be installed in a vintage OS mug soon.
  11. Great story, Charlie!

  12. Thank you Patrick! I think... Where does it grab you?;)
Is it the speckle spots on the silver razor handle? The variations of the silver plate from dull on the lower knob to shiny under the base plate? Or the juxtaposition of the tall brush set back and the staggered placement of the AS & Cologne bottles? Maybe the cotton bar towel I've been using for several years and the tones of the liquids and badger hairs. Unlike some of our 30DC, I'm running out of ways to stage my gear for photos so I need all the help I can get.
  13. I'd have to choose Stoylin, but that would be unfair, as I haven't sampled others. MysticWater4Men has one, I believe, as does that military company(whose name escapes me at this time-RegimentSoaps). . But I've yet to try them.
  14. It was indeed a compliment Rick. It is the content that catches my eye. Love the bottles and the way everything is placed in the pic. I'm guilty of using towel backdrops myself btw .
  15. I'm in Kampot (Cambodia) for a couple days, I just brought the Stahly. Maybe it's the water (cold water exclusively this summer) because this morning's shave (Palmolive stick, BIC second use) was just stupid good. Marvelous post shave feel from the Palmolive and Kampot river water.

Breakfast was pho at my buddy's restaurant on the river. His wife (who is Vietnamese) knows her stuff. [IMG][IMG]
