    Razor: Razorock Wunderbar
    Blade: Permasharp Super (2)
Brush: Grizzly Bay Pure Magic/ Maggards SHD bulb
    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
    Soap: Declaration Grooming Chaipre
    PAA Galactic witch hazel
    PAA Unscented Star Jelly
    AS: Declaration Grooming Chaipre

    Good morning!

What a shave to start the month! Three passes for near BBS. Just a light tickle from the alum which came as a complete surprise. I expected silence. Only my second use of the Wunderbar and I am smitten. Effortless reduction.

    Have a great weekend! [IMG]

I started this month with a repeat of how I ended last month, although changing the brush choice to the green&white Boston Celtics mascot. Pleased once again with the Chiseled Face GTB combo. I registered on their website, deciding to "Create A New Account" when they had no record of my "old" one.

It's hard to fathom that it's already June. It certainly is true that the older you get the faster time goes.
    :scared007: Tempus Fugit :scared007:
The other day, I took the W&B to the Norton 4/8K, Naniwa 12K
This morning, I made about 10 laps on my CrOx linen strop, followed by 100 laps on the Savin strop.
Mos def an improvement over the last shave with this blade.
Keep in mind, this razor has only been honed by yours truly, and there is no doubt that many of those
honing sessions were anything but productive.
I find the most challenging aspect of honing is not to make contact with the stone as you are flipping it over.
I can only imagine the edge taking a real beating by a simple "lift and contact" move.
I can also relate to the similar mistake on the strop.
My cure for this is to completely "clear" the stone before changing directions.
If anyone has a better solution, I am all ears.
You probably noticed that ridiculously, large shave brush pictured above. :shocked003:
    That came yesterday.
It is a "Chubby" 3 Extra Super. Extra Super is the term that was used by Simpson, before they were
acquired by Vulfix. It was their name for today's Manchurian Badger.
This knot is outta bounds. Humongous is an understatement.
Loading this brush is going to be a challenge. For now, I am going to use it with creams, which I can
apply directly to my face and use the brush to work the lather.
Plus, this is not a new brush and I don't want to stress the knot.
I will say that it didn't lose a hair. :happy036:
I'll betcha that this knot holds almost a 1/4 cup of water. :shocked003:
Definitely a different face-feel when compared to my Best Badgers and Super Badgers.
Thicker bristles, perhaps; more resistance; more friction.
Made just two passes today for a better than DFS shave.
Post shave included the usual players, Alum (silent), Thayer's (no sting)
and the Hemingway After Shave Tonic.
This juice is premium stuff. :happy088:

Wow! Amazing work Jason. I know how much time and effort it takes to make 1 brush let alone that many....and make them all similar.

Wow! What a knot! Great picture and report, Joseph.
I took advantage of the Hemingway Acoutrements free sample offer. The cream says it can be used with or without a brush. Does it actually whip into a lather?
