I've tried the peppermint, the almond and the Sandalwood. There's so many nice scents on offer!

    Good morning all.
Had to try out a razor I received in the mail when I got home.
Was not as intuitive as a razor with a handle but still a good shave.
The head shave was not as smooth as normal with a handled razor. I found out I control the preasure and tilt of a razor with my fingers not my wrist as with this razor. Nicked my chin, small but there it is, used 3 blades because I dropped one changing blades for the 2cd pass. It is difficult changing blades on this little tool.
But if I practice I could use this as a daily driver, it will just take time to adjust to no handle.
    20190606_062824.jpg

All in all a good close shave with some learning to do on how to adjust with no handle, a quick focus would cure it soon I believe. Cleaned and shined, the razor will be in my rotation, if for nothing more than to learn the thing.
    To all
    Enjoy

I am up and moving this morning after a restless night. I have been having abdominal pain off and on over the last week. Given my medical history this always makes me a little nervous. At least I have my annual exam with my Gastroenterologist next week. At least I was able to get in a wonderful shave this morning. The "Soap Destroyer" and "The City" combined to make a wonderful slick lather. Three passes and touch ups ended with another drama free BBS shave. A splash of Fine Santal and I am off to a client site for the day. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

    Thanks, Clint!

St. Barts is really nice. The scents are well blended. My nose picks up coconut as the dominant scent although it's the one I'm most familiar with so it's the one I notice. The website description is pretty spot on.
Great shave and picture, Clint! I hope your stomach issues are nothing major. Maybe just too much bbq and tacos?

    Mystic Water Jasmine~~Simpson 90th Anniversary Astor 82/90~~Friodur 472~~Myrsol Don Miguel 1919
This combination doesn't see a lot of use. SWMBO thinks the jasmine is too flowery...:signs002:

Well, Jasmine is a flower, so she's certainly not mistaken.
I am down to only two Mystic Water soaps in my den.
A bunch of them went out with the great purge of 2019. I kept this one and the Lilac,
    which is
my best soap to pair with The Veg...:love055:
Today's lather was magnificent as always. MW starts out as a sticky, gooey, gummy mess
and blossoms (see what I did there?) into a soap with top-notch slickness, cushion and,
    most notably,
    post-shave hydration.
I have never has an issue lathering MW. Maybe because I have always had a water softener.
For me, the secret is too wet the puck and with a relatively dry brush, create the aforementioned goop.
Add your water extra slowly and the reward is worth the effort.
The Astor knot is like a cotton-wrapped bunny rabbit, cloaked in mink.
The loft is a little taller than your average 1:2 ratio, so there's a good splay.
Add that with excellent flow-through, gorgeous and ergonomic handle and what you have
    is a winner.

The Henkels received a bit of a refreshening this morning, the first since I acquired it.
CrOx on the linen was all + 100 laps on the SRD strop.
The 24 hour stubble plinked and clinked and was deftly removed.
    Alum was hushed; Thayer's was...well, Thayer's.
The Myrsol Don Miguel is mos def a jasmine-forward aftershave.
It probably wouldn't be a favorite in most dens, but Primo isn't your
average, ordinary shaver, is he?
D-Day...75 years ago. My wife's father didn't storm the beach, but parachuted behind enemy lines
on D-Day +2 (maybe 3, not sure). Thank you and R.I.P. Joseph Contino.
And thank you to the bravest group of soldiers that ever were.

    06/06/2019 - Shave #3 for June

RazoRock 400 Noir Plissoft Synthetic Shaving Brush
Salsa Bowl / Timeless Lather Bowl Scuttle
    Fine Accoutrements – Snake Bite
    Astra SP
Gillette Pre-War Tech - Triangle Slots
Univinlions (Kai Clone) with Feather Pro Blade
    Nivea Post Balm
    Pinuad Clubman Classic

The Gillette pre-war tech is a smooth shaver but I seem to like the New Type a little better. The pre-war Tech is a good shaver and does a great job.

The Univinlions completed two passes on the cheeks and under the bottom lip. I had a small nick under the lip that I did not notice it till the alum went across it. The alum took care of it. The Fine Accoutrements soap did its thing and another great shave was completed.

Finished up with some Nivea post balm and Clubman classic. It is raining in Alabama today and we need it. Y’all have a great day!
