    Friday at last. I got a little more rest last night so I am feeling better. I really like the Cold River Schapenmelk soap with its light cologne type masculine scent. The CH2 lathered it up with ease. Three passes and touch ups ended in another drama free BBS shave. A splash of witch hazel with menthol followed by Fine Italian Citrus and I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a Fantastic Friday.

    Yay! USPS arriveth with goodies yesterday!

    First use of the Ralf Aust blade. 100 laps on linen, 100 on leather, and it was plinking every raised arm hair. That's one of gssixgun's 'edge ready' tests....so straight to work. 2.5 passes, no drama...just done. DFS- today...the ever elusive lower right neck. I really love the tip design. Spanish point with a slight muting, easy to see what's going on, makes the smaller face contours a little less trouble.

    Also first time using a WWB handle (couple of you enablers....). Very nice feel in hand, love the marbling effects (vanilla ice cream with chocolate and caramel). The 2 Band Badger 26mm knot and Stirling Vanilla Sandalwood whipped into a yummy slick lather. The SS is a trial size...put into a small wooden shave bowl (that's the lid in the image). Same flavor AS....a little burn and today's shave was over way too soon.

    Image today, flashlight stage light effect. All the refractive echos/shadows not added....it's straight from camera, only square cropped.

    Another working weekend....locally, so maybe I can squeeze in shave reports without images.

    Beautiful pictures Blair and congrats on an awesome razor. The brush reminds me of ice cream with a mix of carmel and chocolate.....very nice!

    Still considering it, but less so than before. It's so strange that the closer the time comes to making a major decision, that big question pops up "Do I REALLY want to do this???" You get hit by the economics of it all, and health concerns, among other items.
