Wonderful shave and photo. Life happens Jason. Just take care of yourself and try not to work too hard.
June 23 SOTA Good afternoon guys! Shavette Shave #167 Dovo Shavette Rockwell 1/2DE Blade (1) Jayaruh #290 Synthetic Brush Proraso Green SS and AS It's warm on Long Island! I could have hold off my shave this evening or tomorrow, but I needed to cool down a bit. The JR 290 brush did a great job lathering the Proraso. I only needed 2 passes to get a BBS shave with a new blade. Unfortunately, I got a small nick on the stache going with the grain on my first pass. I just happened to unevenly land in that area. Hey, stuff happens at the most inopportune times. Styptic pencil took care of it. Aftershave was abundantly applied to end this fine shave. Tomorrow will be a no shave day. Have a great evening guys.
Great shave, Jason! Hope things slow down for you! My oldest son is busy as heck as well! Have a relaxing evening with family! All the best!
Glad your shave went well, Maestro! I’ve had the same issue with Sharp Stars. Too dang much glue! Maybe there was an excess of glue or misfunctioning wrapping process eight years or so ago! Hope your day went well!
As you know, every shaver's beard is different so watching a YouTuber shaving may or may not work. However, I can recommend Lynn Abrams who has more than 30 yrs straight shaving experience. I also like Eric Latta of Adventures in Wet Shaving and Anthony (the Stallion) Esposito as fine straight shavers. I am not a fan of the Stallion because he uses objectionable language, but if you can get past that, then you can learn from him as well. Rudd Shaves is another You Tuber, but he uses straights and safeties. He belongs to the Chrome Dome Club like us. I am sure that you can find others, but these are the guys that come to mind.
Awesome Tabac Tuesday shave, Patrick! I'm pretty sure the next 100 blades I buy are going to be those Astras; I'm getting some smooth and easy shaves out of them, and I can get at least three pleasant shaves out of half a blade in my shavette--that's a week of shavette shaves for me with just one blade. Been very impressed with the Astra SS.
Are you kidding? It'll be one of the very few chances I'll get to send a 'Told You So' card--I'm usually on the receiving end of those All kidding aside, I'm sure you'll do fine and eagerly await the report
Now that ain't right! People who deal with snow should not have to deal with triple digit temps as well--you're getting slapped with both ends of the stick
