I just want to preface this that you can answer me via pm if you don't want to share openly. Or, you don't have to share with me at all. You are over 60, so most people would have worked 10 quarters to have SSI taken out of their pay. Even if you were an independent contractor, then you still had to pay into SSI. So I do not understand why you wouldn't collect SSI?

During this month there may be some basic shaves. However, I am going to incorporate my Gemini theme (Twin shaves-same software and hardware for two days in a row).

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: Drew Dick 7/8” Quarter Hollow Purple Heartwood
Brush: Sawdust Creation Studio Old Cahaba
    Lather: WTF Vintage Barbershop
    Aftershave: WTF Vintage Barbershop
    Additional Care:
    Barbero Alum Block
Thayer's Witch Hazel - Aloe Vera
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Leading off, WTF Vintage Barbershop. I thoroughly enjoy this soap. It is a soft soap, probably considered by some as a crisp. A small pea sized sample removed from the tub yields massive amounts of lather. I had enough for the usual three three passes plus a fourth lathering of the face and neck for
sh%#*ts and giggles.(final rehydration). I easily would have been able to get a two pass head shave if I felt adventurous.

The Drew Dick razor, one of two that I am fortunate to have, did an amazing job. It delivered a super comfortable shave. The more I use this blade the better I like it when compared with the other Dick. Both are excellent shaver. Today’s razor, a quarter hollow, has more weight. It just feels great in the hand.

The scent of the soap and splash is relatively long lasting. Almost five hours post shave, I am continuing to get subtle whiffs as a I move about my day. The glacial balm round out this shave nicely. Smelling good, face feeling good and extremely happy with the whole process today. Hopefully a “twin” copy tomorrow.

Very nice shave in spite of the minor mishap. I am in the home stretch of this distance learning nightmare. It has served one purpose. It definitely solidified my decision to retire after next school year. I think 41 years is enough.

Here’s a meme I made about shave soaps beginners; as well as experts would be wise to tryout. I thought this was fitting for Just The Basics June. 3B291E03-239F-4E93-A1E0-95C0471AB44E.jpeg

Good for you, Joe! A lot to be said for retirement! I’ve been retired since 2012. You’ll find youkre just as busy, only you’ll be focused on what you want to do!
