I know you're saying this in jest. I just want to assure you and everyone else that I don't have an agenda. I've never pushed my preferences on anyone. I buy and use what I enjoy and I hope everyone else feels they have the same freedom. Manipulating isn't my style.

Happy Sunday everyone. I felt like a change this morning so, I pulled out the Wolfman WR2. Sticking with the bowl lathering, I scooped out a bit of the Santa Maria Novella Cream and pressed it into the bottom of my Aesop shave bowl. The little Galahad C3 did a wonderful job whipping up the lather. I did add a couple of drops of lanolin to the mix while lathering. Three passes and touch ups caught the baby with ease. The SMN Tabacco Toscano aftershave was the star of the show. The scent of tobacco leaves and vanilla over a base of spices is simply divine. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Question about setting 11 which looks insane. If you ride the cap the opening could be almost infinite and it wouldn't matter as the bottom plate is out of play, correct? or am I misunderstanding it (wouldn't be my 1st time) GLAD you're clearly enjoying this investment Jim ;)

Correct. That's the way I look at it anyway. A shallow angle would take the baseplate out of play with most razors. I attribute the extra blade feel to chatter on the Sailor. Backed off this far the springs aren't putting much tension on the intermediate plate that locks the blade to the topcap. That's my theory anyway.

It is amazing how a great shave make you feel sooooo good.

PAA aluminum DOC on an unknown brand hollow aluminum handle.
    Feather blade (4)
    Hembree Delrin synthetic knot brush
    Soap Commander Unity shave soap
    Cremo Bourbon and Oak EdT

    Late shower and shave today.

I needed a little Soap Commander love today. Awesome lather and a bunch of it. It is just good stuff!

I decided to bring out the lightest razor combo in my arsenal....the PAA aluminum DOC on a unknown aluminum handle. This combo weighs in at .77 ounces.

I just went for two passes....no drama and an almost BBS. The alum was barely noticeable.

A little witch hazel and juice..........this one was in the bag.

I hope every has had a wonderful day.

That's the cool thing about the 30DC. Nobody has an agenda. It's a brotherhood. The give and take is what makes it special here.

I had a good fella tell me once that life will be better if I had thick skin and a tender heart. I fall short more than I'd like to admit, but this is how I aim to live. Seems like most here do likewise.

Note: some have better haircuts, cookware, tractors, operatic knowledge, or better luck at Piggly Wiggly, but it's never openly flaunted. :D

Thanks Dave. Hopefully we can get it figured out but stress doesn't help and I seem to have plenty of that at times. TSD is my stress free zone. :)
