On a personal note, I am preparing my car for my nephew's wedding this weekend in western Maryland. Yesterday, I had the oil changed, the coolant and the windshield wiper fluids topped off. Today, I bought two new tires to replace my front tires because it wouldn't be wise going on I-95, otherwise. I still need some stuff done on the car, but they aren't safety concerns.
As far as my travel kit, I probably will take my Vander Hagan safety, Tabac, Old Spice and my Barbury Synthetic Brush. Although, I may take my Dovo or Parker Shavette.

Yes, outer wear with metal showing. When I get back, I will have to get the car aligned and some front end work on that one side. It's a 400 dollar repair job.

not good.i would put a pair of used /good condition/cheap tires on it .a long trip will eat tires in a few miles at highway speeds if the alignment is out or excessively worn.

Thanks Jim! It's 600 miles round trip. I haven't done a long trip like this since my nephew's first marriage 20 yrs ago. I don't get out much. Lol!

I would agree, but I am not going 70 to 80 miles per hour. The car doesn't shimmy or shake and the original tires were not the best. Also, I have a 65,000 warranty. I do mostly local driving so I will be fine. BTW, I got a nice deal on the tires.

Safe travels Joe. Those tires will be toast with that many miles before the fixes and alignment. Just saying from experience. Once the wear is established it continues. I do hope you have a great trip.

Edit, Brit beat me to it.....

good warranty on the tires.does it cover the tires if the vehicle condition causes wear/failure?
