Thanks Danny... The homemade witch hazel mixture is easy to make, you should try it yourself... Just remember to add small amounts of the essential oil at a time, until you get it to the consistency of your choice... Adding too much essential oils will irritate your skin... You can add to the mix, but can't take it away.. Little is good. Yours - Barry.

Thanks, Joe. I have had blades that eschew glue dots, which are simply single-covered and folded. Some, like Sharp Star, use a double-wrapping. Feathers and Wizamets (Polsilvers) are notorious for their wonton use of glue.

Thinking of Jeff Greene @jgreenepa as the Ronson is one of his favorites and now after my first shave I know why. It's an efficient Beast that if you pay attention will reward you with a glass smooth shave. I hope he is well and getting better. The 1st use of the Shave Forge Boar leaves me with grave concerns over whether it will make the cut. I may need to just put a cashmere knot in this handle even though I really wanted to keep it authentic and original. As Fuzzy says, shedding a hair is no big deal but I don't think any of us shed like this and I have zero patience for it when it is to this extent. Pics include the after loading the brush and doesn't include the 6 or more pulled out of the soap bowl, the rest are separate strokes and NOT the same pic at different angles. If this shed 1 hair it shed 30 JUST during this shave.........Have a Stellar Day Guys and Gals !!

    Good morning!

Wonderful Williams Wednesday shave to start the day. Fatboy set at 9. Shallow angle, long deliberate strokes. Repeating what I did yesterday for identical results.

I joined the 30DC just a couple of months after I started traditional wetshaving. At the time I was still tearing myself up. I was changing razors with every shave looking for that perfect blade/razor combination. I was busy blaming my tools and not learning how to shave. A couple of Rules and a few Focuses later I was on my way to getting great shaves. Thank you to all the 30DC members, both past and present that helped me get to where I am now. Technique Trumps Tools.

    Have a great day!

Happy Hump Day everyone. I decided to change thinks up some and go with the iKon and 7 O'clock black for the next few days. This morning was my first time using a Stirling Glacial shave soap and aftershave. The "Soap Destroyer" loaded the soap with ease. I started face lathering while adding water slowly. I couldn't seem to get the lather where I wanted it so I took the brush to the Aesop shave bowl. I had a wonderful rich thick lather in short order. Citron is a mixture of many different citrus fruits. I was able to pick up the tangerine and orange easily. The rest blended together into a wonderful citrus melody. The soap was very cold on the face. Honestly I expected it to be much colder. I think my regular use of B&M Terrorade additive has me accustomed to very cold shave soaps. Three passes with touch ups caught the baby with ease. A splash of the Glacial Citron aftershave hit me with a full on citrus blast and face freeze. The aftershave is the star of this pair. To keep things going I followed up with the WSP Citron Solid Cologne. I am feeling and smelling nice. I hope everyone has a fantastic Wednesday.
