Kamisori Wrap

    Actually I do not love kamisori handle's shape.
    And classic wrapping can give oxidation issue.

    The only one I have, even not a classic japanese grind so it's more a faux kamisori, I've wrappend with this knot.
    It's from marine experience, and It's easy and super-fast to change ... but very strong.
    And give more "substance" about holding the thin handle, on the side of the thumb.

    The wrapped ones just look better and feel better in the hand.

    Ingenious idea. What size paracord do you use? I am thinking of using this as a means to create a better grip on a traditional blade instead of making scales.

    Not sure about the size.
    Just asked a nice (to me) color thread.

    This knot for sure give a strong grip.
    There're tons of others.
    Just check 'handle knot' online ...

    Is rust a problem if the cords get wet?

    Yes, as always.
    But you can easily change it.
    Or apply a rubber paint under.
    Or just take care to clean the hands before to use sharp objects.

    Last one is my way.

    and here I was thinking, there is plenty of stuff to learn with straight razors LOL come to find out there's more
