It may seam like I enjoy the puns, but I am ready to scrim. All this batting and bobbin wordplay goes against my bias. Really, I should be napping.

Here is a bit of follow-up. The block in question was suggested by my quilt guild. (The samples we were shown had several colors and we were encouraged to be creative.)

Each month they suggest a different one for us to try. The next month, we all bring them in and hold a drawing.The winner gets all of them. (I’ve won a few times.)

So at yesterday’s meeting, we all brought in our hourglass blocks. Every one was colorful, creative & well-made, in a wide array of colors. Here are some examples made by some other members;

I imagine that is what the board bullies in question were thinking.
