Then you should go and see "Pan's Labyrinth" (if you haven seen that one already!). Not a happy story, but solid acting and special effects and a great soundtrack!
I watched E.T. last night. When the movie came out I was traveling so much that I never saw it. Somehow I missed it when it was re-released. I finally understand the phrase "E.T. phone home"
Got around to watching Gravity. I do think it was a bit over hyped but it had beautiful cinematography and I'm rather impressed by myself for sitting through an entire movie with Sandra Bullock I'd rate it a solid 6..maybe 7... out of 10.
Continuing with some more fine cinema, Poultrygeist - Night of the Chicken Dead is on deck for tonight.
Started watching the re-make of the classic Andromeda Strain but lost my interest and attention after about 30 minutes and it ended up just playing in the background whilst I was poking around doing other stuff. It has a stellar cast and Ridley Scott's behind it so I think it may just be me.
These Wilder Years....James Cagney/Barbara Stanwyck , I guess you know by now I am a James Cagney Fan. He was born on 17Jul1899. I believe this is one of his best Movies. I will probably watch White Heat tomorrow.
"White Heat", James Cagney,(Cody Jarrett) Virginia Mayo,(Verna Jarrett) Edmund OBrien,(Hank Fallon/Vic Pardo) Margaret Wycherly(Ma Jarrett) 1949
Gallant Hours after dinner tonight. He could be my Dad's Twin. And yes I have a large collection of Cagney Movies.
I recently finished watching Mud, with Matthew Mcconaughey. I don't much care for him, but I really liked the movie. I thought the kids in it were great.
