Streamed The Accountant last night. Not too bad, by today's standards and it kept my interest. But, lots of plot holes / missing back story that really stood out.
Pretty interesting movie about a possible nuclear attack that may or may not be about to happen. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Pretty scary doc. Very strange that a whole city could be kept isolated and somewhat secret for so long. Even stranger is to see at the end that there were dozens of other similar cities in other countries and even a couple here in the US. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
The Zookeeper's Wife- wife wife wanted to see it. It's pretty good if you're in the mood for a heavy story.
The Face of Love. Ed Harris is one seriously under-rated actor. Hint: Good movie to watch with the wife...
Paper Man (2009) 7/10, really, really weird movie, but if you've got a couple hours to kill, you could do far worse. The Last Word (2017) 9/10. I rather enjoyed this one, and the soundtrack is pretty good, too! (Bonus! Reasonable Doubt (2014) 8/10, not much here that hasn't been done a THOUSAND times before. Good fun if you like telling the main character he's an idiot every once in a while. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The Ninth Configuration. What a surprisingly good movie. I just happened to stumble on the beginning of it last night when I was about to watch something else. There are some really good performances. I'm surprised Scott Wilson didn't become a much bigger star years ago. He was great. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Just finished Silicon Cowboys (2016), and I give it 10/10, because I'm a retro electronics nerd. I thought it was an interesting history of the rise of Compaq. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Really good movie. Macbeth has never been told better but I'm a big Kurosawa fan so I'm a little biased. I'm also a very big fan of Toshiro Mifune who was an excellent actor. He was great in The Seven Samurai which is perfection. I highly recommend the documentary Mifune: The Last Samurai which is streamable on Netflix. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Finally I watched the first part of "Iron Man"! It's really a good movie, in my opinion one of the best about superheroes
This afternoon I went and saw Dunkirk. I knew what it was about, but only saw the trailers, didn't read up on anything about the movie. I was expecting something along the lines of Saving Private Ryan. It wasn't. Not bad, but I didn't really care for it. Hopefully Valerian tomorrow will be better.
I'm really looking to Valerian. I love most of Luc Besson's work. Spaced Invaders (The entire movie. I will certainly delete it, if that's against the rules.)
New York: A Documentary Film 9/10, the Mighty Ducks (1990) 8/10, and Rogue One (2016) 10/10. This week, I also attempted to watch The Celestine Prophecy (2006), Knowing (2009), and The Big White (2005), all with a rating of 1/10, as in "don't EVEN waste your time with any of these!" I couldn't sit through any of them. Yes, they were THAT bad! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
