Dunkirk...on IMAX with my son. One of the best movies of a historical ww2 event I've seen in quite some time. Edge-of-your seat viewing from the outset. Wonderful cinematography, sound and musical score. Accurate recreation across a broad scale. Fantastic air battles. Certainly more about the actual event than the story behind the main characters, but we do get to experience the tragedy and horrors through their eyes. It may not be for everyone's tastes but to this WW2 buff, I found it exhilarating.
Yeah but if you found Dunkirk edge on your seat exhilarating you must really love watching paint dry. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
The Wedding Ringer - Funny, but I sometimes feel like they went too far for no real reason. Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets - Reminded me of The 5th Element, good but it seemed drawn out.
Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine (2015) 8/10. I've watched a few docs about Jobs/Apple, and this one shows a bit more of the darker side of the corporation. I've known for quite some time that he was a jerk and a half, but this film showed a bit more of that. If you like retro tech docs, this is a decent one. It's on Netflix. I don't really care for westerns but this one was okay. The only reason I watched it was because I'm a big fan of Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas. I will say that Tombstone is a much better movie though. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Watched Dunkirk tonight and enjoyed it. While not the best movie I've ever seen, it was worth seeing in the theatre.

I've watched a few since I last posted. The Mighty Ducks (1992) 8/10, Rogue One (2016) 10/10 and one of the best Star Wars films since the unjacked with originals (episode 4-6). School of Life (2005) 9/10, WAY better than I thought it was gonna be after the first 10 minutes or so. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) 7/10. I wasn't a fan of the Harry Potter films, and this was pretty much more of the same. Good special effects, but that's about all that was decent about this one. Kong: Skull Island (2017) 8/10, I was fairly disappointed in this one. If you want a great Kong movie, the 2005 version by Peter Jackson is VASTLY superior. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
