Got back from Arizona last night. On the flights I watched a few free movies on the Alaska Airlines streaming service. On the way down I watched Alien: Covenant which was okay and Kong: Skull Island which was entertaining but obviously edited for language and violence. On the way home I watched Logan which I liked but I assume was edited for gore since I had heard it was really bloody. It definitely wasn’t edited for language. It almost seemed like they were purposely cramming as much profanity in to make a point that this movie is rated R. I also watched, The Hateful Eight which I had downloaded from Netflix. It was a good movie but I had it in my head that it would be a bit better with all the rave reviews. I thought Jennifer Jason Leigh was great but expected her part to be larger. Michael Madsen’s character seemed like it was tacked on as a favor from Quentin. I’ll need to watch this one again in the future. For some reason the dialogue in the movie was difficult to hear with the volume all the way up. There was a kid 2 rows in front of me screaming bloody murder off and on for over an hour. I had to rewind one part 4 times to hear a line from Samuel L. Jackson. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
THE MASTER Written and Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson Starring Joaquin Phoenix, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adam
Not great, but not bad. It was Ok to watch. Edit: Following up with two episodes of the 1966 Batman series with King Tut. I still enjoy watching them...........
Saw this recently ... Blade runner 2049 I really liked it ... enough that I'd watch it again. Felt like the original even 35 years later.
If you have good memories of the first one and liked it's particular SciFi / Detective Noir; you'll like this one. I'm even thinking of buying them as a set, if they out as one. My wife, that's not particularly in to SciFi, thought it was interesting and it kept her attention.
Yeah, the 2nd one was pretty awful. I watched it all the way through, and I’m still not sure why I wasted that time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Watched Mudbound last night on Netflix. Pretty rough in parts, and I wouldn’t watch it with kids around, but I gave it an 8/10. And I just realized that was the 800th rating is be done on IMDB. I feel accomplished! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
