Lindsey Lohan used to be absolutely adorable and beautiful too. I really noticed that versus the now.
I think the last movie I watched all the way through was Operation Petticoat, with Tony Curtis and Cary Grant. Before that, Zoom: Academy of Superheros, and Sky High. Yeah - I don't watch much.
Finally watched this. I'm a big fan of the original anime movie, and I think they did a decent job with this, though it's certainly a step down. If you don't watch anime, but like cyberpunk, this is a great movie.
When I was a kid I got to stay up late on Saturday nights to watch the Sherlock Holmes films (starring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce). I still love these movies from the late 30s and 40s. I watched this one tonight. The cool thing about it is this movie debuted in 1946. The female lead, Patricia Morison, will be 103 years young on her next birthday in March. Wonderful!
Watched Alabama Moon with my wife last night. I give it a 10/10, based on pure entertainment without all the junk that’s so prevalent in movies anymore. It’s free with Prime. I just stumbled on it and figured we’d give it a shot. Glad we did. Tried the same thing with Magellan, and it’s such a stinker I had to turn it off less than 10 minutes in. Pretty good movie but apparently the depiction of the true story is mostly fiction. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
It's Hollywood. Most people there wouldn't know truth even if you beat them to death with it. (well, maybe 'especially'?) Remember Dragnet? "The story is true, only the names have been changed to protect the innocent." In movies, it's "Only the names, the events, the places, and the times have been changed to make a better story."
Early Peter Jackson movie. Not as good as his later classic Dead Alive but still fun and entertaining. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
It was surprisingly good. I laughed a lot in the theater ( I almost never laugh in the theater), that's saying a lot! I'd watch it again!
