Went to see "Lucy" with Scarlett Johannson. Good reviews but I was disappointed in it. About 1/2 way through it went wonkie for me anyway. Liked Scarlett though
Not often does a cast conspire to allow 007 to be involved in a transporter malfunction that could take out Bane and Katanga.
Earlier today, I watched White Heat, 1949. James Cagney Cody Jarrett, Virginia Mayo Verna Jarrett wife, Edmond O'Brien Agent Fallon/Vic Pardo , Margaret Wycherly.Ma Jarrett
"Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon" Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon (1943) is the fourth in the Basil Rathbone/Nigel Bruce series of Sherlock Holmes films. The film is credited as an adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Holmes tale "The Adventure of the Dancing Men," but the only element of the source material to be used is the dancing men code.[1] Rather, it is a spy film taking place on the background of the then ongoing Second World War.
"Tribute to a Bad Man" 1956 James Cagney, Don Dubbins, Irene Pappas, Vic Morrow, Stephen McNally, Jeanett Nolan, Lee Van Cleff Trivia Spencer Tracy was cast as Jeremy Roderick, but was replaced by James Cagney as Mr. Tracy complained and procrastinated about working on that location because of the altitude of working in the Rockies. This essentially resulted in Tracy's being fired from MGM, his home studio since 1935. Robert Francis was originally cast in the role of Steve Miller but he died in a plane crash two weeks before he was set to begin filming on location in Colorado. He was replaced by Don Dubbins. Grace Kelly was originally cast by Metro in the film, but her upcoming marriage caused her to be replaced by Irene Papas. This quote is true. My wife has a business that is in the Equestrian community. Quote from the Movie: Jeremy Rodock: One thing you gotta learn tho - a horse is man's slave but treat 'em like a slave and you ain't a man.
Terminator 2 (1991) My favourite of the Terminator movies. Lots of action and very entertaining. Kindergarten Cop (1990) One of the weakest of Arnold's movies. Don't get me wrong I love his movies but he is a terrible actor and this one highlights his flaws more than his action movies. He has very little chemistry with the lead actress and it shows. Still, some funny one-liners.
Detective Story (1951) Interesting movie where a young Kirk Douglas is a no nonsense hard driven cop. There is a brief shaving scene where the Lieutenant is shaving in his office after working all night. I think it was a super speed but the head looked rather thick. Really good movie.
Another Arnold movie: Total Recall (1990). This is my favourite of his. It has a good (mind****) plot and lots of action as well as some funny bits. What's not to love? Well some simple people only like simple movies with a clear resolution and this one doesn't have one.
The Maltese Falcon (1941) Humphrey Bogart, Mary Astor, Ward Bond, Gladys George, Sydney Greenstreet, Jerome Cowan.
