I love depressing movies! One of my favorites is Voces Inocentes (2004 Mexico). It made my mom burst into tears and has been the only one that has brought a tear to my stoic emotionless face. It is about child soldiers. I couldn't care less about adults but the plight of children affect me so. Another bleak, but not necessarily so sad, movie is The Class (2007 Estonia). I'm betting you haven't seen it but it is a must see. It is about school shooters. What is the most depressing you have seen?
Escape Plan (2013) with Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. It was enjoyable. Arnold's recent movies have tanked. Even with a big name like Stallone also joining. I guess no one wants to see these old guys anymore. Sad.
A Bird happened to mentioned this in another thread ... http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/cinematic-movie-songs-theme-or-plot.40629/page-6#post-733108
Lol poor bird! I never saw the latest one. I'd heard it was worth watching, and being a fan of the book and the other movies, I figured it would just be all disappointment.
Well, some pretty graphic rape scenes, bullet shots to the heads, knifes being stabbed into people. So yeah, a chick flick
