That's not a movie, but I liked Alice's Restaurant. Probably because it really irritated my parents. The movie came out in 1969, but I was only 11 at the time. It must have been a few years later before I watched it.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay was the last theatre movie I saw. Tonight I watched the 1994 movie, It Could Happen to You, starring Bridget Fonda and Nicolas Cage.
Not the most light-hearted film to watch, but Daniel Day-Lewis' performance was worth the 2.5 hrs of time invested. my sons hated it, but I found it captivating.
Yeah, you're right of course. That short vid is just a clip from the ol' Johnny Cash Show (from the old Ryman ) where he picks a little with Arlo. They just goof on the rhyming for a bit (Arlo - Can I bring my stash? John - Yeah. Hehe.). Just funny stuff there really. No, we have our Thanksgiving every year with friends mostly, a few family sometimes; pot-luck style and just as casual as you like. Watching the film (the actual film, from '69...the same one you saw as a kid) has just sort of established itself as part of the day's entertainments over the years. By now the regulars all know the dialogue, sort of like the ol' Rocky Horror Picture Show used to be (maybe still is), or watching Spinal Tap can get that way too with the right crowd. Another great clip from the old Johnny Cash show, with Norman Blake! 1970, Thanksgiving show too, as it happens. June too
This was a most excellent movie. One of the better ones I've seen in some time. Ethan Hawe did a great job. Trailer
Tombstone has my wife's favorite catch phrase "I'll be your huckleberry!" But I disagree about the best western ever,,, it is Lonesome Dove. Tc
Absolutely loved this movie. It's like if "Blade Runner" and "I, Robot" had a love child. Great acting by Antonio Banderas.
Zombies of Mora Tau (1957) Pretty slow zombie flick but there are couple unintentionally hilarious scenes. Most notably the chick zombie who gets a candlestick bounced off of her forehead.
The 1942 live action version of Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book. The part of Mowgli was played by Sabu Dastigar, who at 39 died of a heart attack 2 days after his doctor told him "If all my patients were as healthy as you, I would be out of business". This version is a bit less sanitized than the Disney treatment.
This movie was just fantastic! Loved every minute of it. I thought this quote from the movie summed it up rather well; "I think his world had vanished long before he ever entered it. But I will say, he certainly sustained the illusion with a marvelous grace" Trailer:
The Chronicles of Riddick. Probably the third time watching it. Still great http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb...s/archive/5/50/20120130224018!Wiki-background
I tried watching the Peter Pan Live! on Hulu+ last night. LOL saying it was terrible is an understatement.
