He lost his daughter again? I find it humorously ironic that Liam turned down the James Bond role partly because he didn't want to get stuck playing the same character.
Windstruck A Korean film from 2004. This film is fantastic. Mind you, it is an emotional roller coaster. While it starts off funny and silly, as the movie progresses the story and characters become more serious. I soon found myself completely emotionally attached to them and as a result I was sobbing like a baby (no joke...tears were freely flowing) near the end. Its a fantastic film that I can't recommend highly enough!
Wow, I can't even remember that last movie I've seen. I've cut down a lot on how much TV/movies I watch. After my wife and I have kids, we plan on not watching TV anymore. Too much violence and all on TV. It's something we can live without.
Went to see American Sniper last night and left teary eyed. Although I never did what he did, I gave 20 years in defending the country (USAF) and would give my life for it to protect the future of my Granddaughter. It is sad to see the folks today that do not understand the sacrifices made so they can say what they say and do what they do. Chief Kyle is an American hero.
It was a great movie. I didn't know about the story until I saw it and then went home and read up about it. One of those movies you wish wasn't based on a real story.......
Saw "Selma". It was moving and thoughtful, and certainly an important movie. But the plot and pacing was a bit plodding and slow.
Last night my wife and I watched The Red Shoes. Its a Korean made horror film based on the Hans Christian Anderson fairytale. I have read the fairy tail and its a not more disturbing than the movie. Luke any good Asian horror, there were a lack of loud startling scenes and it was much more a Gothic psychological thriller! I recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind being creeped out instead of startled.
Saturday night my wife and I watched American Hustle. While we found it mildly entertaining, neither one of us felt it was worthy of receiving 10 Academy Awards nominations.
Watched "Chef" on Netflix yesterday. Great movie for me, but I've liked all of Jon Favreau's movies to some extent. I love how he cast Sophia Vergara as his ex-wife, and Scarlett Johansson as his girlfriend. It's good to be the king!
My wife and I watched The Other Woman on netflix last night. We laughed at the slapstick. A pleasant time filler, non the less.
We watched Boyhood this weekend. You've probably heard, but the movie was filmed over the course of 12 years, and tells the story of a boy and his family. My kids and I really enjoyed it and had some things to talk about afterwards. My wife enjoyed moments and the overall idea, but the movie was very much character-driven and although it was plotted and scripted, you just kind of watched Mason grow up; she prefers a more straightforward, traditional kind of storytelling.
It was an awesome movie for sure. I love to cook and wish I actually knew my way around like he does in the movie. Maybe one day I can walk in a farmers market and plan meals based on the ingredients I see
Agree. Hard for me to turn down most any movie with Morgan Freeman. +2 Watched it Sunday evening. Very good.
