I do use that same approach when I look at say Yelp or Amazon reviews. I'm sure there are some reviews that are bought/planted but if the number of reviews gets large enough (100+) I do pay attention to the general concensus.
Same goes here in our informal polls and questions about certain shave products. If the majority seem to think a soap or The Veg a particular aftershave is bad, then I'm inclined to avoid these products. Others are, of course, free to use and enjoy these same products.
I thought it was a really nice documentary. It's been awhile since I've actually felt sad while watching something.
thanks for the alert on this new Sherlock Holmes series, will definitely check it out. It will be tough for me to picture anyone but Jeremy Brett in that role from an earlier BBC series. (dare I say from back in the mid-1980s?!!)
Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman are great, but the writing and production of Sherlock is stellar.
That series was the best. My brother told me about it and the SO and me really enjoyed it. Wish there was more!!
Not a movie, but I've finally broken down and started watching Breaking Bad. I'm halfway through the third season and really enjoying it. Very smart show that doesn't follow the predictable TV show formula. I'm way behind the times. I also generally watch movies primarily from the pre-60s. I must be influenced from a past life.
Guardians of the Galaxy Not a flick that I would normally watch, my wife wanted to watch this one. I actually liked it.
This might be the most epic music video ever created for a movie. Kung Fury may end up being the greatest bad movie ever made. I can't wait to see it.
Made it 1/2 way through Nighthawks when we took ill. Was thinking about finishing it up tonight, then something called Road to Perdition with Tom Hanks. I know nothing about it but the fedoras look interesting.
I finally watched "Fury" last night while I was doing homework. Needless to say, the homework has been put off until a later date. "Fury" was a surprisingly good movie.
