A Christmas Story! 24-hour marathon on TBS and other channels. It's a tradition in our family to watch it on Christmas Eve.
Watched Big Hero 6 with my daughter. I liked it she didn't as characters kept dying! Children's films these days have some really sad elements in them which my daughter hates. I don't remember children's films being so complicated when I was a kid. Maybe I should show her Home Alone.
It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Decent story...a few lame parts (IMO). Here are the last 3 I watched: Naked Among Wolves - a German film...two HUGE thumbs way up for this one! The Best Offer - Not nearly as good as I hoped considering it has Geoffery Rush and Donald Sutherland in it. I was pretty let down by the ending. A Christmas Story - an essential part of my Christmas for more years than I can count.
King of Devil's Island - another movie that is amazing. I love foreign films, they seem to have amazing, heart wrenching, stories that suck you in.
new star wars....I may take it in the teeth for this but, wasnt a fan of it..dont know if its because I always kind of knew some back story going into ANY star wars movie and I knew nothing this one, but I didnt like the story (felt kind of like a remake) and something about the way it was shot/filmed didnt make me feel like I was watching a star wars movie (I know, I know, thats because lucas didnt do it)...for the most part I thought the acting was great, but seeing fisher was just horrid and really made it feel like it was forced (no pun intended), and kylo's character just killed it for me....I think its set up for episode 8 to be much much better but man was I dissappointed.
My single older cousin who is like an aunt to my kids (more than my sister) decided on Christmas Day to book IMAX seats for the family to see Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. I don't like going to the movies normally but had a good time with the family and cousin Cora.
Just watched it the other night. I liked the book and thought the movie was a pretty good adaptation.
