Today I watched: Fire Sale (1977). Fairly funny Alan Arkin film though Rob Reiner was pretty annoying. The Hidden (1987). I watched this movie dozens of times on HBO during the late 80s and early 90s. I probably hadn't seen it in 20 years. It still holds up well. Good action flick. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
We just watched "Sully". I have to give it a mixed review. They did a great job rendering the water landing & rescue. But they took a lot of liberties with the other parts of the story. (I read his book before seeing the movie.)
The Exorcist came out when I was just a child, and I remembered it as some kind of cheap horror flick. Saw it yesterday and was very impressed. A classic well written and well acted.
Age gives perspective I have found. It's why I go back and reread books from my library. I'm always finding new insights.
Fences (2016) with Denzel Washington. Wasn't what I expected, but a solid 9/10 on the dialogue alone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Last night I watched Diary of a Madman which was a decent Vincent Price classic. Today I watched Escape from Alcatraz, Roller Ball and the last Bowery Boys flick In the Money. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
"Purgatory", about outlaws stumbling across the town of Refuge and finding out the hard way it's best to mind your Ps & Qs.
The spousal unit and I just went to see Romancing The Stone for date night. The local moviehouse has an oldie every Wednesday.
Saving Private Ryan? Band of Brothers? The Pacific? Patton? Tora, Tora, Tora?Gettysburg? Need I go on?
Yep. Still sticking to my guns on this one! LOL! That is a great list there, though. Watched Cast Away for the first time in a WHILE. I'll still give it 8/10. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
