Saturday night I watched "Rio Grande". John Wayne, Maureen O'Hara, Harry Carey Jr., Ben Johnson et al.
"Help Me! Help Me!" ..... squoosh! I watched that when I was 6 or 7 kind of freaked me out. My brother would say that line to bug me.
Maureen O'Hara also worked with John Wayne in one of my favorites "The Quiet Man". I was surprised to see her in "Only the Lonely". Such a beautiful and talented lady.
The studio made John Ford make "Rio Grande" as a condition to being able to make "The Quiet Man"(which I'm saving 'til St. Patrick's Day). +1 on Maureen O'Hara!
Harvey Hadn't seen that movie in probably 30 years. As a kid I remember it being a nice sweet innocent movie. Seeing it now, I recognize Jimmy Stewart's character as a traumatized childlike alcoholic coping as best he can with witnessing his mother die. Whole different movie but still very enjoyable. Get Smart, the movie. Haa some of the funniest gags I've seen in a long time. Dance number alone is worth it.
Last night I watched the second of my "Cavalry Trilogy" movies, "She Wore A Yellow Ribbon". Still looking for "Fort Apache". Yo!
I watched Arrival. That film is brilliant and I highly recommend it. Sent from my LG-V480 using Tapatalk
The Greasy Strangler, on Amazon video. Do your self a favor; don't watch it. If you do start watching it, you are likely not to stop, or you might puke, or you might hate yourself for being so intrigued with a greasy, cheesy, filthy show.
