Or just use Google. But funnily enough, I've parts of that show. One of the digital channels plays it. I think weekend mornings. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Holy crap! This is one of the most intense movies I have seen! Absolutely amazing, absolutely heart wrenching. I'm planning on reading the book now. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
The weekend was somewhat busy with movies (long movies) on TV. I watched The Departed followed part of The Town (left halfway through to go watch the Cardinals game). I watched some of the Matrix movies since they have been playing on Syfy, and some Resident Evil.
Real Steel. Rocky with robots. I don't know what it is about this movie, but I really like it. And it is long. 3 hours on TV, which always surprises me. The dancing with Atom is always cool. And the end fight between Atom and Zeus, just something about it.
Not a movie, but last night on AHC, they were running "World At War" which I really liked when it first came out. Luckily it was the first four episodes of Season 1.
Last night I watched Captain America: The First Avenger. Probably my favorite Marvel movie outside of Guardians of the Galaxy. Right now I'm watching The Hunt for Red October.
Ghost in the Shell (the film) is missing the ghost (a soul). Pretty bad from a fan, who enjoyed the mystery & intrigue the manga & anime has made iconic. Knew when ScarJo was cast it wouldn't deliver-big fan of hers-but, not her portrayal of "The Major". But, didn't expect much from a live action movie. Hoping the new Blade Runner movie is a return to the great mind-expanding futuristic movie genre. My advice, see this at the discount movie theater or better yet. Rewatch many of the numrous anime series/movies or read the Manga and enjoy.
I've only seen a few episodes of the anime, so I don't really have any expectations other then I feel like I've already seen the whole movie from the trailers. If I go early it'll be cheap, so not worried there.
This afternoon I saw Life. A bit slow, a bit interesting, with a predictable end. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Rogue One. I'm a huge Star Wars fan, so of course I was adding this to my collection. I like how it shows a different side to the Rebel Alliance, and that everything isn't heroics and roses.
So this afternoon I did go see Ghost in the Shell. I probably should have saved my money. I was underwhelmed. It was slow to me, and it kinda lost my interest. I might have to watch the anime though.
So this afternoon after a day of visiting Fort Morgan and Fort Gaines, I caught the tail end of Alien Resurrection and then watched Alien vs Predator. I'm a huge fan of the Alien and Predator franchises, but Resurrection was just a bit meh. And AvP had the makings for goodness, but when the entire series carries a R-rating and you give AvP a PG-13, you can expect a decline in quality. I much prefer Aliens vs Predator Requiem, pure Aliens and Predator goodness with humans just around for fodder. Prometheus needs to rot in hell, but it will be interesting to see what Alien Covenant brings.
