Those coyotes better be careful
Yes, they should. Just for fun, I took a paint pen & wrote "ACME" on it.
That tiny 2 lb anvil rocks!
I bet it's easier to move than mine, too...
@Bax I think you are right! How much does yours weigh & how do you use it?
I completed an eyeglass case yesterday, from a Tandy Kit.
Good job on the eyeglass case, Sara! It looks like you're proficient with the stamping and tooling!
Oh, and my anvil is for farm use... general whacking and a little bit of blacksmithing. Sometimes it's just a place to put my drink, when I'm working on one of the tractors. ;-)
Thanks @Bax. I am almost done with 2 valet trays, made from scratch. Coming out nice, despite some mistakes made from limited experience.
I just completed the first of 2 valet trays. The second one is nearly done. Here is the one I made for my husband. It s made to honor Blackbeard’s lesser-known cousin, Brown Mustache;
I should have used thinner leather, as it was hard to shape it. To get it into the desired shape, I put it in a vise & kept moving it along until it was bending where it needed to.
I took a trip to Lyndhurst todays & bought more goodies- some embossing wheels, a T-Rex stamp & some leather sheets. I took some soft, chrome-tanned leather and sewed a pouch for my nice brass caliper.
Latest project was a multi-tool pouch with a loop for a pen or small flashlight.
You're doin' stuff, Sara!!
@swarden43 I was wondering of you have been to Tandy’s Philly store yet?
Busy summer, and the older I get, the faster it goes!
I'd still like to get up there, just don't know when.
Ok, just wondering. In the Lyndhurst store, we got very good customer service, so I will be curious how that is, in the other stores.
August 15 is National Leathercraft Day...
Here is the document case I made. I cut a 13” x 24” piece of leather from a single-shoulder. Rounded the corners, punched holes, stamped, dyed, burnished, etc.
I made a leather basket. The critters approve…and have appropriated it.
A tisket a tasket bears in a leather basket.
