Leaf? I literally asked that question right before I purchased mine (as well as what the twig was made of. Here's their complete response from just a few weeks ago:

"Ours are made of Zamac which is a zinc alloy. It's plated with a PVD process which is much stronger then standard electroplating methods. They've been holding up quite well over the last few years since we've been selling them. We've thoroughly tested with a salt corrosion chamber and a multitude of other finish strength/adhesion tests and they perform quite well.

No plans at the moment for a stainless version."

Where did you hear about this rumor? I'd love to see the source.

I just had my first shave with the Thorn version. I like it. No nicks, smooth and could get around my Nose / Mustache
    without mishap. Nice

Well, I've had a few shaves with it now and I have to say It has its place, mainly the tight areas.
I am a bit worried about the mechanics of it, a lot is going on with no way to service it.
    It's fun to use.

I believe he was referring to Merkur, not Leaf, as coming out with a stainless razor soon.

Sorry fellows, thought you knew about it.
They brought out the stainless steel (Elite) leaf of a limited 100 units and it sold out immediately according to Josh on Sobie shaves. He got the #1 razor (lucky him) and he explains it better than myself, Sobie is a kind of excitable fellow about his shaving and he knows his stuff and takes chances with all kinds of hacks on blades and................ Are they going to bring out any more ?
Beautiful razor but hard to manufacture is my understanding from Subie shaves!
    Have some great shaves!

Guess I was wrong about that. Wish I'd known, I might have tried for one.

I was going to get the Twig but then I did this with my Shick injector razor with 1/2 a Wilkinson Sword blade. :eatdrink047:

I've been considering acquiring the Leaf and Twig Duo set. I'm curious as to how they perform with the half-blades. From the shaving videos I've seen, they seem to be similar to the Trac II razors.
