One of my favorite soap fragrances is that of the 'regular-scented' Martin de Candre—which, according to the maker's site is scented with "... Benson, Rosemary, lavender, mint." To my nose, I can easily detect the lavender — floral, fresh smelling, herbaceous —and even somewhat camphorous. Not everyone enjoys this particular scent (the MdC), but I certainly do.
Love me some lavender...MIke's Hungarian, Mystic Water Jeff's Lavender. Czech & Speake Oxford & Cambridge, Agua Lavanda Puig EdT.
When it is combined well, it is very, very lovely and calming. Mystic Water Jeff's Lavender is one of the best renditions of this.
I use Taylor of Old Bond St Lavender shaving cream in a tub and I love it. The lavender scent is very relaxing. Ken P.
I love lavender too. If you are looking to blend it with a woodsy scent, try blue spruce. It will add the woodsy note without overpowering the lavender.
lavender, bergamot and green leaves; middle notes are coffee and cedar; base notes are amber, vanilla, tonka bean and patchouli. Just a suggestion...lol
Lavender has been one of my favorite scents as of late. I have a couple of soaps with lavender scents, and would definitely like some more.
I have yet to come across a Route 66 soap scent that I (or my wife) did not find appealing. Plus the performance of the product (both soaps and balms) is stellar! I look forward to trying this new 'lavender-based' creation!
I love lavender scented soaps. Two of my favorite have been Mystic Water Jeff's Lavender and MdC Original Scent.
The only Lavender I have are Mikes Hungarian and MDC and I love em both. I've been wanting to pick up a Woody-type and also a Lavender/Lime
I know we're talking about lavender soaps, but you owe it to yourself to try a good lavender cologne (eau de lavande). Today I scored a new one; "Eau de Lavande des Princes" by L.T. Piver. It's a true lavender fragrance, without woody or other scent notes. Another of my favourites is Cella 1897 "Eau de Lavande" cologne. This is also a true lavender fragrance. Caldey Island lavender water is another excellent, and pure, lavender water. Of these three, the Cella is the longest lasting, I would guess. Personally I am a fan of the pure lavender waters. If you want a fragrance with lavender and other scent tones, the choices are endless, of course.
Also worth exploring is Brin de Réglisse, a near soliflore take on lavender with a hint of liquorice and hay.
